    About this Episode

    Bio:
Iris Almario has emerged on-screen and beyond as an accomplished Actress, Host, Model, Social Media Influencer and true Animal Advocate. Originally from New York, this natural beauty of Colombian-Puerto Rican descent, has proven as talented as she is diverse. Coming up in 2022 you can watch Iris on the new, episodic anthology series Tales of the Walking Dead. She also hosts the AAA Smart Home Insurance and Clinical Immunity infomercials. Recently audiences caught Iris in a dramatic moment on the witness stand in the CBS series, All Rise. She also went for big laughs guest starring alongside Will Forte on the short-form comedy series, Flipped on The Roku Channel. Overseas, Australian audiences can watch Iris as Elena, who fights for justice for her sister’s murder in the true life made-for-tv movie, Murder in Mexico: The Bruce Beresford-Redman Story on Foxtel.

Iris’ passionate nature extends well-beyond the performing arts arena as an active global animal advocate. Searching for balance in her life, she began volunteering locally at a shelter which eventually lead her to a rescue that works with dog meat trade survivors. Through this organization, she traveled to China and brought back 3 dogs from a slaughterhouse and rescued 1 stray that can't walk but won her heart to become her beloved dog, Koko. Iris believes that helping abused animals has enriched her life and shown her the importance of compassion towards both people and animals. Iris proudly co-founded the global foundation Women United for Animal Welfare (WUFAW.org), which focuses on improving animal welfare through direct action in the field.

What Are The Differences Between Beyond Meat vs Impossible Foods - Burgers and Beyond?

If you're curious about the rise and now fall-ing of plant-based meats, you're not alone. Price, health, and taste all play a role in the decline. Personally, I believe in organic, whole foods whenever possible. Real food, without being processed, that are recognized and digested properly in the body. Finding sustainable foods with an environmental low impact is extremely important. These faux/plant based meats play a role and have a place. Today I compare two of the most popular ones out there. Beyond Meat and Impossible Foods. Can you guess which one I like better?

Impossible Foods launched its first meat in 2016. https://impossiblefoods.com/
Beyond Meat launched in the US in 2012 https://www.beyondmeat.com/en-US/

Fully Body Cellular Detox with Alimtox Wellness Ion Cell Cleanse Foot Bath

Fully Body Cellular Detox with Alimtox Wellness Ion Cell Cleanse Foot Bath

Ever wonder what those "detox" foot baths actually do or how they worK? On today's episode I speak with Paula Childers, owner of Alimtox Wellness. We go over the ins and out of what it means to cleanse, rebuild and balance your body with an ion cell cleanse. We are being bombarded with all sorts of pollutants. Some we do knowingly from the foods we eat and products we use and others come from our environment, right down to the air we breathe. Pollutants like chemicals and heavy metals build up in our system. Toxins can get stored in the body’s joints, organs, arteries, nerves and tissues, disrupting their ability to function and thus creating an environment for disease, allergies and immune system breakdown. We talk about what it is, how it works, what to expect, the bad rap that it sometimes gets and the benefits of detox.

Listen in to learn more and if you are interested in owning your own machine, take advantage of the discount Paula is offering for 30 days.

Your Voice Matters - Save the Shady Ficus Trees of Robertson Blvd in Beverly Hills

What does it mean to have a voice and get involved? It feels like there are more injustices than ever happening all over. We need our voices to speak up and speak out. Whatever is important to you. There are many missions that need help. Right now mine is to help save these beautiful Ficus Trees, also known as Indian Laurel Fig trees that are so close to me and the community around me. I feel responsible to protect the land. Save the Robertson Blvd Trees of Beverly Hills.

The city of Beverly Hills are killing 87, 60+ year old healthy trees in the name of progress. I hope you'll help, if only by signing the petition below and be a part of a grassroots movement of protecting our delicate eco system. Nature has no voice, so we need to protect these trees to co-exist in our urban surroundings. Trees give us so much, let's give back. Thank you for listening and participating and the importance to choose to care.
Please get in touch with me if you have any questions, would like to know more or would like to get involved. Thank you.
