Tangular A. Irby is an author, educator and quilter.  As a descendant of Gee's Bend, AL, Tangular shares the importance of passing on family traditions with future generations through storytelling.  Tangular shares her family tradition of quilting and emphasized the importance of documenting our history.  She uses her book and activity workbook to encourage students to tell their own family traditions through writing and other creative ways.
