Krystalynn Williams, LMFT - Founder & CEO of Krystal Clear Mind

Krystalynn Williams, LMFT - Founder & CEO of Krystal Clear Mind

    SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

    • Self-care is not selfish. It makes us better so we can be better for others.
    • Just like in an airplane, we need to “put our masks on first”.
    • We receive communication based on our own experiences. Considering other’s perspectives can be helpful in bringing people into alignment, feeling heard, and improving relationships.
    • Asking what type of support our moms need can help to create a space for them to share their needs and be heard.
    • High-fives are not enough. Listening and asking questions will help bring clarity to the types of support moms need.

Krystalynn’s experience in providing mental health services to low-income families with children exhibiting at-risk behaviors helped shift her focus to the center of the family: the wellness of the mother (and parents). She believes the best way to offer quality love and care to others is to serve from a full cup. Krystalynn continues to serve her community by participating as a guest panelist/co-host for speaking engagements and often volunteering at community and faith-based groups. Krystalynn holds a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco; specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Gary Ross - President of Inside Comms & Communications Expert

Gary Ross - President of Inside Comms & Communications Expert

    SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

    - The three golden rules of communication are:

    1. Everything communicates, even not communicating is communicating
    2. Know your audience. Know what motivates them and how they like to get their communication
    3. Engage the power of storytelling

    - Communication goes wrong when there is a misalignment between the tactics used to communicate the objective of the communication. Avoid going straight to the tactic of communication and think about it more strategically.

    - People need to know what you want them to know, feel, and do.

    - We can communicate internally to an organization, but we need to be prepared for that information to eventually go public.

    - During critical incident communications leaders should:

    • Tell the truth
    • Be forthcoming
    • If they don’t have the answer, it’s okay to say they don’t know but you are working to get the answer
    • Ensure they are communicating with their own people so they know what the organization’s response is and that they are being taken care of
    • Be prepared beforehand, do drills, have a core crisis communication group that includes the CEO, and have a plan
    • Just do the right thing

Prior to his training, coaching, and consulting work, Gary led communications departments at CDW, Hyatt Hotels, and Fortune Brands. Before joining the corporate communications profession, he worked as a reporter and anchor for WCBD-TV in Charleston, SC, where he was nominated for an Emmy Award in investigative journalism, traveled overseas with the U.S. military, and reported from the eye of Category Four Hurricane Hugo.

    SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

    • The future of work, I think, is more around the autonomous worker. The Autonomous worker aspires to have a work-life free of restrictions over time, of choice, or locations
    • You find your joy in what you impact. How are you making an impact on the people you are with every day? Why can’t we just do good work for great people who want to do great things?
    • When we start to think globally, we can actually make our local businesses better. When we start to consider the global movement of talent, knowledge, and learning, the diversity of skills just makes us better.
    • When we think we are doing enough listening as leaders, it’s a sign that we probably are not listening enough.

She helps business professionals create an impact so they can love every Monday morning again! She is an inspirational coach, trainer, and epic storyteller who delivers transformative learning experiences for her global client base. She believes that the heart of every successful business is the leaders who inspire courage.

    SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

    • Helping others succeed will help with your own success. We need the support of others to move up in organizations and we need to have that outward perspective if we want to be successful at leveling up more rapidly.
    • The higher up you go, the less in touch you are with how things really happen - You will begin to lack the domain knowledge and the further up in an organization you go, the more diluted information becomes from reality.
    • Oftentimes, the people who have come through the organization organically lack certain skills because the company doesn’t need them or hasn’t needed them. The skills that these companies need are not in-house anymore. Now we have so much change that’s on the forefront that companies are in significant turmoil on how to adapt and adjust.
    • You make more money when you move from being paid for what you do to being paid for what you know. That’s a game-changer from a career perspective.
    • Take big risks. Too many people play it safe. Too many people feel like the control is not theirs. When you marry up a high risk tolerance with the accountability of “I’m going to be the one that’s in control”, it’s a game changer, and everyone should learn that earlier in their career.
    • The biggest thing holding people back is their perspective. Change your perspective and show up differently because oftentimes the game you’re playing isn’t the game you need to be playing to level up.

Chris Hansen - Executive Director of Time on the Water 501(c)(3)

    SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

Dr. Eric Recker - Recovering Triathlete, Dentist, & Founder of #WINtheNOW

Dr. Eric Recker - Recovering Triathlete, Dentist, & Founder of #WINtheNOW

    SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

    • An “Epidemic of Distraction” is leading to less-than-optimal performance levels and a lack of presence at work and with our families.
    • Time blocking can help us be more present
    • Break your moments into wins. Think what is the “win” in this “now”, then move on to the win in the next “now”
    • We always have another chance right ahead of us to “win the now”.
    • In order to effectively take care of your team, you have to be selfish in some things.
    • Write down what success looks like to you. Are you doing things that are aligned with your success? Revisit the exercise because things six months from now might not be aligned with what success looks like then.

Eric has worn a lot of hats. As a husband, father, dentist, elite success coach, pilot, speaker, author, mountain climber, and recovering triathlete, he has pushed his life to the limit and discovered that what he was searching for wasn’t at the top of the mountain.

Today... in addition to running a thriving dental practice he loves... Eric is committed to helping people learn to #WINtheNOW and discover the life they were meant to live through his talks and coaching. As a speaker, he offers stories and strategies that equip audiences to live with hope, to have a plan, and to believe that good days are ahead!

Eric, his wife Amy, and their two kids proudly live in a small town in Iowa.
