    About this Episode

We're still traveling... eating, drinking, and hanging out in the southeastern US. Today we're in Hickory North Carolina visiting with friends who took us to an awesome, local, one-of-a-kind restaurant... Charolais (named after a French breed of taurine cattle, apparently known as the best breed for beef production in the world).

Join us for a quick visit and let us tell you about this little NC gem.

This quaint but awesome Bistro style restaurant is on the outskirts of Belle Meade in Nashville.

Tremendous food with a great small bar, good service, and plenty of character. We liked it and we're pretty sure you will too. Be ready to wait unless you made reservations.
    It's busy... for good reason!

Listen while we give you the 411 about this interesting place to eat, drink, and hang out.

"Where Southern Italian cuisine meets Southern hospitality"... interesting, huh?

Mimo is a very cool downtown Nashville hotel restaurant... not sure about the chain but It has a flair that interested us and food that was very appetizing.

It's easy to  access, easy to enjoy, interesting menu options, and delicious food.

If you're downtown for a concert... check it out!

Red Stagg Grill - Asheville NC

Sandi and I decided to venture into NC to visit some family members and generally throw down at the Biltmore Estate. Well, much to our surprise we were introduced to a fabulous restaurant... the Red Stagg Grill, just across the street from the Biltmore.

Great food, Great Service, Great Memories. Give it try whenever you're in the area. You won't be disappointed.

    This is a good one.

Get the chickens out of the way, move away from the scooters... we're all about the Grand Cafe, a great Key West dining spot with food and service to die for. Oh, and did I mention the outstanding art by Jerzy Paterek?

With a cozy dining room, a semi-secret bar, and a huge front porch overlooking the crazy wonderful people on Duvall Street, this restaurant has a full menu, a great vibe, and isa  one-of-a kind when it comes to eating, drinking , and hanging out.

    Union Station - Nashville

Union Station in Nashville is  a great destination with a really good restaurant - StationAiry (get it...) - a great lobby bar, Live Nashville Music every day, comfortable lodging, and a trainload full of history.

Once the L&N Nashville train station, responsible for inbound and outbound traffic throughout the region, this refurbed gem is a refreshing, retro hotel in the middle of a city that's trying so hard to renounce it's history.

    We loved it.
    We think you'll love it.
Give it a try and let us know what you think.

Bouchon at the Venetian Las Vegas

Bouchon at the Venetian Las Vegas

In 2004, Chef Thomas Keller brought Bouchon to the Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino in Las Vegas. Bouchon’s interior  was designed by Adam D. Tihany, who recreated the original Bouchon’s environment…  classic mosaic floor, magnificent pewter bar, antique light fixtures with hand-painted murals.

The interior space is as beautiful as the food and service are outstanding.

We’ve been many times over the years, and recently Sandi and I dined at Bouchon to celebrate her birthday. Please join us for a six minute and 46 second  conversation about this marvelous restaurant.

And do yourself a favor next time you’re in Las Vegas… Beat It To Bouchon!
