    Podcast Summary

    • Journey to WorthinessRecognizing and addressing internal 'God blocks' is key to feeling worthy of love, leading to acceptance and peace. Our worthiness exists within us and is not tied to external factors.

Feeling worthy of love is a journey that often involves facing our own internal blocks. These blocks, which I call 'God blocks', can prevent us from experiencing the love that's always available to us. With awareness, we can identify these blocks and seek help through prayer to transform them into pathways for connection and acceptance. It's crucial to understand that our worthiness is not tied to our achievements or external circumstances. Instead, it exists within us right now. By embracing acceptance and inviting divine partnership into our self-care practices, we can remove barriers to love, leading to a deeper sense of peace and worthiness. This journey emphasizes that it's about recognizing and addressing these internal conflicts, rather than trying to earn love or validation from others.

    • Redefining Self-WorthSelf-worth should not be based on external standards like weight or money. Embrace your true value by seeking spiritual understanding and redefining what self-worth means to you.

Self-worth often relies on external measurements like weight, bank balance, or social validation, which can limit our view of who we are. Many people, including myself, have felt our value tied to these quantifiable aspects. Recognizing this can help shift our focus to understanding our innate worth. Embracing a new definition of self-worth that aligns with our true selves, and seeking spiritual guidance can liberate us from these constraints. It's important to take ownership of our self-image but also invite God into our journey towards realizing our intrinsic value, leading to a more fulfilling and authentic understanding of self-worth.

    • Self-Worth EvaluationEvaluate how you measure your self-worth. Relying solely on external factors can lead to emptiness. Instead, choose your own definition of value to connect with your true worth and purpose.

It’s important to evaluate how we measure our self-worth. Many people often rely on society’s standards, like appearance or social media feedback, which leads to feelings of emptiness and inadequacy. Instead, we should understand that our true value goes beyond these external factors, as we can choose our own definitions of worthiness. Reflecting on what really matters and recognizing that divine worth is inherent can empower us to see ourselves more positively. This shift towards a self-defined measure of value can lead to a healthier self-image and a deeper connection with our purpose in life. Letting go of society’s metrics and focusing on our intrinsic worth will help us find fulfillment.

    • Transforming Self-WorthSelf-worth comes from within and should not depend on external factors. Embracing our divine value allows us to truly appreciate ourselves and receive love. Transforming our mind is key to this acceptance and happiness.

Our self-worth should not depend on external factors like weight, money, or relationships. True worth comes from recognizing our own value as seen by God. Transforming our view of ourselves—focusing on internal appreciation rather than needing others’ validation—can lead to happiness. This involves renewing our mind and accepting ourselves fully. By doing this, we enable ourselves to truly receive love and compliments, rather than pushing them away. Everyone has the power to change their self-perception and to view themselves as significant and deserving, initiating a positive transformation.

    • Understanding WorthinessTrue self-worth is found in spiritual values rather than worldly measures. Embrace your individuality and shortcomings to cultivate genuine self-love and fulfillment.

Self-worth goes beyond external measures like wealth, appearance, or social media likes. It's essential to value yourself through inner qualities like love, joy, and peace, which align with spiritual values. Recognizing and embracing your individuality and shortcomings helps in redefining your worth and finding true fulfillment. Shifting focus from worldly currencies to spiritual guidance cultivates lasting confidence and self-love, allowing you to feel worthy despite imperfections. Over time, this transformative process encourages renewal of the mind and leads to genuine self-acceptance and a deeper connection with oneself and God.

    • Redefining WorthMeasuring worth by worldly standards leads to emptiness. Embrace spiritual values like love and peace for true fulfillment, recognizing that our real value comes from within as seen by God.

In today’s world, many people measure their worth by worldly standards like money, appearance, or status. This can lead to feelings of emptiness and selfishness. Instead, embracing spiritual values such as love, kindness, and peace brings true fulfillment. It’s essential to redefine our worth and allow our spirits to guide us, focusing on what truly matters. By seeking a deeper understanding from a spiritual perspective, we can appreciate our true value as seen by God. Pursuing goals is fine, but they shouldn’t define us. Instead, we should recognize our inherent worth and understand that it’s not tied to external achievements. God sees our hearts, not our statuses. Finding joy and peace in this understanding can transform our lives, helping us live with compassion, understanding, and purpose.

    • Value ShiftSelf-worth should come from within and through spiritual values, not worldly achievements. By shifting our perspective and recognizing our inherent value, we can truly embrace love and happiness that is always available to us.

Understanding self-worth can be difficult, especially when we rely on achievements and societal standards to gauge our value. Instead, it's important to shift our perspective from worldly metrics to spiritual ones, recognizing that our true worth is defined by love and acceptance from God. Many feel they need to reach goals to feel worthy, but this mindset blocks us from receiving love and happiness that is already available. We must commit to seeing our value through a spiritual lens, surrendering control, and letting go of external definitions. When we embrace this new way, we open ourselves to a profound sense of worthiness, independent of our circumstances.

    • Divine Self-WorthUnderstanding self-worth is key to receiving love. Inviting divine help can shift perspectives on worthiness and reshape our self-image through consistent prayer and focus.

Self-worth is crucial for a healthy self-image and to receive love. It's important to recognize that feelings of unworthiness can block us from experiencing love. Taking ownership of our self-image while inviting a higher power, like God, can help transform our perspective. By praying for guidance on recognizing our divine worth and understanding where we may chase societal validation, we can shift our views. This process involves focusing on new beliefs consistently to reshape our thinking. Remember, what we pay attention to grows. So, seeking God's perspective can nurture our self-worth and help us see ourselves as valuable through a spiritual lens.

    • Divine Self-WorthTrue self-worth involves recognizing our value through God's eyes rather than seeking validation from the world. By surrendering to divine guidance and rebuilding trust in ourselves, we can embrace a healthier perspective on our worth.

Self-worth can be significantly impacted by our perceptions and assumptions about value. It's easy to chase societal validations instead of recognizing our worth as seen through God's eyes. By surrendering our need for worldly approval and asking for divine guidance, we open ourselves to a healthier perspective on our self-value. Instead of trying to fix our self-esteem entirely on our own, we can seek divine support through prayer. This journey includes rebuilding trust in ourselves and understanding that with God as our partner, we can heal and grow. The podcast encourages listeners to reflect on their personal journeys, asking for clarity and connection as they work on these fundamental aspects of self-worth. Each week brings new insights, promoting a continual exploration of our relationship with God and self-trust.

PART 2: Do You WANT to Stop Dieting, But You Have No Idea What That Even Looks Like (and the alternative terrifies you!)? Let's Talk About It! (Outweigh)

PART 2: Do You WANT to Stop Dieting, But You Have No Idea What That Even Looks Like (and the alternative terrifies you!)? Let's Talk About It! (Outweigh)

OUTWEIGH: Leanne is back for Part 2 of this series to help you understand how to get off the diet roller coaster for good.

So many women WANT to stop dieting, but they don't know how, or they don't know what that even looks like, because it's all they've ever known.

So this idea of "food freedom" or NOT being on some sort of diet is not only foreign to them, but it's actually pretty scary, because all their brain has known is what it's like to count, measure, restrict, and control.

Or their brain knows what it's like to bounce to the opposite end of the spectrum, and end up in an uncontrollable cycle of mindless eating, emotional eating, stress eating, or binging, and they just end up feeling super out-of-control.

This week Leanne is laying out the 5 step crystal-clear path way to finally STOP dieting without feeling like you're going off the deep end if you're NOT on something.

    HOST: @leanneellington

Getting Out of Your Comfort Zone + Why You Should Never Kiss Your Dog + Gratitude + Mantras & Intentions for 2024 (the Year of Empowerment)

FIRST THING: Amy read something special her sister wrote called That Time We Tore Down the Fence. Loving your neighbors well, getting outside of your comfort zone, and answering dreams, but never forgetting what you have experienced and learned and loved on the way.

SECOND THING: Taft Hansen (a medical laboratory scientist/parasitologist) is a guest for this continued conversation about parasites. He sent Amy an email after hearing her episode with Katie Decker and he wanted to contribute. They talk about why you should never kiss your dog, cooking meat properly, parasites in the brain and more.

3RD THING: Taft's wife Morgan joins in for '4 Things Gratitude' and some good movie, tv and book recommendations come up during it!

4TH THING: Amy's cousin, Amanda Rieger Green is on talking about how 2024 is the year of empowerment. She released a Numerology Guide Book that’s special for this year (an 8 year, BTW) and people are loving it, so Amanda gave us the details & also shared with us some mantras and intentions that are good for us to use this year specifically!

PART 1: Do You WANT to Stop Dieting, But You Have No Idea What That Even Looks Like (and the alternative terrifies you!)? Let's Talk About It! (Outweigh)

OUTWEIGH: So many women WANT to stop dieting, but they don't know how, or they don't know what that even looks like, because it's all they've ever known.

But again, NOT being ON something scares them, because when they are not ON, they are totally OFF, and as you can imagine, it's one massive vicious cycle and downward spiral.

And because this topic truly is multi-faceted, Leanne broke it up into 2 parts. Part 1 is about the mindset and heartset and brainset shifts that need to happen to make the strategy-side-of-things Leanne will share in Part 2 even possible.

So enjoy this episode, and make sure to come back next week where Leanne is going to break it down into 5 crystal clear steps of what that actually looks like to heal from the diet mentality for good.

Elevate Your Confidence, Style & Power with This Life-Changing Tip

Elevate Your Confidence, Style & Power with This Life-Changing Tip

Amy just discovered color matching & it's blown her mind. Her guest, Hannah Garber (a color analyst) breaks it all down for us. Amy met Hannah after she booked an appointment to find out her "season" (she learned she's a 'cool summer' palette, btw) and when Hannah told Amy her underlying skin tone was one that radiates in NAVY BLUE & NOT BLACK Amy was fascinated! She knew she wanted Hannah on the podcast ASAP. Why are we just now learning about this? In a nutshell, we all have certain colors that give us the power to show up with more confidence and look our best. Everything from the way we color our hair, to our makeup choices, the clothing we wear, nail color, jewelry etc..

Amy & Hannah talk about the colors/seasons (winter, summer, spring & autumn), confidence, capsule wardrobes (imagine if getting dressed was easy!!), the science behind it all, how Hollywood uses color matching for character building (shout out Anne Hathoway in Devil Wears Prada) & so much more (like memories of our moms with their signature lip colors & how switching your mascara color from black to brown is a game-changer or vice versa...it all depends on the "season" that you are!)

DM Hannah on IG. She'd love to hear from you: @houseofcolournashville_hannah

How Gwyneth Paltrow Releases Anger & Do You Rank Your Friends? (5th Thing)

How Gwyneth Paltrow Releases Anger & Do You Rank Your Friends? (5th Thing)

Today’s quote is from Ally Fallon: “You rarely know the whole story already – when things don’t make sense it’s usually because there’s missing data, untapped information. Maybe someone is keeping something from you, maybe you’re keeping something from yourself. Maybe certain things are none of your business - and maybe you need to wait a little longer to collect more puzzle pieces.”

What are the facts in the story you’ve built in your head? Practice patience – the other pieces of the puzzle are coming.

Amy & Kat “popcorn” through different topics:

    • How Kat’s feeling leading up to her wedding!
    • What’s the right way to order your bridesmaids/groomsmen?
    • Survey: 1/3 of Americans feel lonely at least once per week
    • Filling your cup with connection & community
    • Horrible hygiene habits that are way too common
    • Gwyneth Paltrow uses a baseball bat to release anger
    • Emotional intelligence quiz
    • Gaslighting and the Keanu Reeves mindset (2+2=5)

Will Amy make 2024 the year of no shoes in her house? Only time will tell :)

Wishing Kat a happy wedding week!!! Check out her episode about The Loneliness Epidemic on You Need Therapy.
