Lauren Collins Scott: Embracing Ambiguity
Meet Lauren Collins Scott. Lauren and I sat down right at the start of her first career sabbatical in which she is creating necessary space to reflect and find her next. In today’s episode Lauren not only shares her career journey but also sprinkles in so much wisdom including:
- How design thinking taught her skills to navigate ambiguity
- Building support systems around you to be effective in your role
- Speaking up when it matters
- How working as an expatriate in London deepened her empathy to the lived experiences of others and made her acutely aware of the importance of creating a sense of belonging for everyone.
- And so much more
Most recently, Lauren was the Global Chief Impact Officer for IDEO and prior to that she served as Chief of Staff in the CEO’s Office and Head of DEI where during the global pandemic she found herself not just stewarding collaboration across teams but operating as the tip of the spear in navigating unprecedented challenges.
Lauren is a Fellow of The Aspen Institute and holds an MBA from Wake Forest University.
