    The first band to embrace the new wave sound in Canada formed in 1977 in Toronto as part of the art and punk scenes on Queen Street West. Fronted by visual artist Michaele Jordana, The Poles saw much success around the city of Toronto with their single "CN Tower." Basically it's the exact opposite of their massive feel good hit Right Here, Right Now as the band took a dark turn musically and lyrically.
