Episode 13: Dr. Ernesto Mendez of Movement 4 Wellness

In our first episode of 2023, I sat down to chat with my good friend Dr. Ernesto Mendez! Ernesto is a physical therapist and owner of Movement 4 Wellness Physical Therapy in Merchantville, NJ. Ernesto has been practicing for almost 10 years, and created Movement 4 Wellness to provide care that he believes is superior to some of the care people receive at more traditional PT clinics. We discussed some of the problems with modern physical therapy, how he transitioned from one area of study to what he is doing now, and why people are messing their feet up so badly today. Check him out on social media at @m4wpt. Enjoy the show!

    Episode 12: Matt Fumo

    Episode 12: Matt Fumo

In today's very special episode I interview my good friend and coworker, Matt Fumo. Matt and I both work at Project Walk New Jersey in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. Project Walk is an activity-based fitness facility, serving individuals who have sustained spinal cord injuries or who have other neurological injuries or conditions resulting in impaired movement or paralysis. Although Matt is now an employee at Project Walk, a few years ago he was here as a client after sustaining a spinal cord injury in 2017 and becoming paralyzed. Over the years, Matt has trained at Project Walk and other rehab facilities to regain his movement. Today, Matt is a highly impressive mover having completed challenging workouts, hikes, climbs, and even finishing the New Jersey State Triathlon earlier this year. Matt has such a terrific attitude, and his perspective is so valuable for those of us facing challenges that seem insurmountable. I'm so happy to call Matt a friend and be able to share our conversation with you all. Enjoy.

Episode 8: Discussing Mental Health with Jess Schulz of @sufferwithfriends

In this episode of the podcast, I sat down with my friend Jess Schulz. Jess started the Suffer with Friends movement about two years ago to facilitate more community exercise and hopefully help those who are struggling with depression and other challenges with mental health. Jess opened up about her experience with depression, and how she's been able to make some positive improvements over the last few months. It was an amazing conversation. PLEASE check out her work on social media @sufferwithfriends. Enjoy!
