Episode 7- "Modern Escapism, Spirituality, & Ego Death" (With Chris Da Silva)

On this week's Episode, Yachay is joined by Connecticut's very own Sean Reid. Since his early teens, Sean found remedy in melody, that is, music! His early influences and upbringing was the force behind his discovery for appreciation and creation of sounds. 
A natural Bassist and Guitarist, Sean plays in three of Connecticut's growing and local bands: Huo, Orbiter, and The green Invaders. For more information on each band respectfully, see below!

This week's episode involves an overview of modern music as well as a deep dive into the historical and expressive nature of music appreciation as a common language. What is it about certain tunes that not only make us feel, but connect us collectively? Why do we feel the need to actively yearn for the right sounds? What power, if any, does music composition hold before us. Take a trip with this audio recording as Sean expresses the foundation for which he exists before. On this week's episode, Yachay takes a trip downtown to visit Hartford, Connecticut's very own Danessa Pedroso. The conversation dives deep into the falsehood of assimilation, the adversity of an immigrant artist, and outreach for a better and healthier community. What better way to discover your true, inner-self, than by throwing all margins of societal structure and expectations out the window?!
 Danessa is a Cuban, Afro-Latina Artist who specializes her expression through ceramic craft. From Coiling to Wheel Throwing, Danessa has built her Studio, Warm Jungle, from the ground up. Her community engagement has gained her traction amongst some of New England's brightest minds. Aside from providing individual and group classes, Danessa also narrows much of her focus through her love for Herbology and Media Content. She has also expressed her artistic passion through modeling work.

Hello again! We're back with our official 10th episode in this Podcast series. After a much needed mental break/vacation, Yachay returns to Studio Luna for a short segment on friendships, boundaries, and love appreciation. 

How important is it for us to communicate our feelings with others? Well that depends on the nature of our relationships. Sometimes being too honest can do more damage than good. But in any reciprocal companionship where friendship is valued highly, being openly communicative about your intentions, views, and appreciation can be rewarding and beneficial to all; especially when the parties involve very close friends.
