    About this Episode

You have a friend with a ridiculous collection of vehicles. Some run. Some even run well.

Stephen has a brother just like your friend.

Evan's collection of vehicles include: 1964 Chevrolet C10 (Charlie, in the shop), 1994 Toyota Pickup 4x4, 2002 VW Beetle Turbo S, 2005 Mazdaspeed Miata (starts), 2006 Toyota 4Runner V8, 2011 Mazdaspeed 3, 2012 Lexus GX460, and the recent sale of a 1989 Ford Probe GT Turbo.

That's the road going vehicles. The dirt vehicles will be listed in another episode.

    What is most reliable?
What can accommodate his dog that goes everywhere he goes?
    What is most reliable?

European, American, Asian...which of these make the cut for consideration?

    Favorite Car Owned

    Favorite Car Owned

Maybe it was your first car.

Maybe it's the daily driver you're using now.

Maybe it's an impulsive purchase with 400+ hp that you would buy back if you could find it.

Maybe it's just another brick in the wall, but it's your brick and that's what made it special.

Your favorite vehicle was more than just your transport from Point A to Point B. You loved it, and for some reason you felt that it loved you.

Mazdaspeed3 and Double Secret BBL Site

You travel down a backroad and notice a 263 horsepower hot hatch sitting on the side of the road with a bright pink sign in the windshield. Then, over the next few months, the hot hatch is still sitting there, for sale, not going anywhere. Something is clearly wrong.

You decide to call the number, take the car for a drive and realize the alternator is not alternating. Easy fix, right?

But, you keep your cool and reserve your dollars for something else. Yet, several months later,  Husband Math tells you that your 16 year old will be getting her license soon, and a 4 cylinder car is much more fuel efficient than a V8. Plus, if all the car needs is an alternator then it would make sense to make an offer on a car that hasn't sold in months, spend a buck on an alternator, and PRESTO! you've just become an awesome dad to your kid, and an even awesomer husband to your wife because you just saved thousands with your impressive reasoning.

In reality...not everything goes to plan.
