I didn't realize this movie is already 10 years old!  Mark Raso's debut feature about an American 20 something on a quest in Denmark, attempting to find his paternal grandfather, deliver a letter from his father, and cathartically mend the effects of years of bad parenting.  Will (our lead) tears through Copenhagen having meaningless sex in an attempt to fill a void.  He encounters Effy, who is still a minor, and enlists her help to track down his grandfather.  After a rocky start, an affection develops and will must struggle with his own libido and acting like a mature adult.

P.S. I just got an air frier and, let's just say, the clouds parted and I have seen salvation, at least in the kitchen.  This teriyaki salmon is so good, it will change your eating habits.  If you have an air frier, it will cut your prep and cook time into one-quarter.  And yes, I say it all the time and I'll try not to break my own arm patting myself on the back - it's delicious.  Make it.

We are SLICK!  We forgot to tell you guys the title of this movie during the podcast.  This week, we reviewed 'May December' with Natalie Portman & Julianne Moore.  The title is a reference to inappropriate, amorous relationship between a much older person and a juvenal.  With subject matter heavily borrowed from the Mary Kay Letourneau case in which a 34 year old teacher puts the hussy moves on a 7th grader and emotional (and legal) fallout destroyed a ton of people's lives.  In short, this movie is all about the giggles. 

Also, I teach you how to make a grilled cheese that will make you throw out your Kraft singles.

Most importantly, we break down "The Summit of the Gods", a Japanese anime movie about mountain climbing and one climber's efforts to etch his name into the halls of mountaineering greatness (which oddly, has French production components).  

We're back to cast our latest pick from 2023's Blacklist.  This week's entry, 'The Profit', a story that chronicles the rise and  fall of Korean investor Bill Hwang, whose evangelical Christian background played a part in his mindbendingly SPECTACULAR loss of wealth.

We explore the trails of being an out of place Navajo boy exiled by his parents for the summer to the reservation.  'Benny' (our main character) struggles with the challenges of being a city boy in the country trying to connect with his native roots and relatives he doesn't understand.

Next, we hit the pause button on this episode for 'The Blacklist' instead opting to discuss the eventual crumble of cable and terrestrial TV.  Plus, George Clooney, Adam Sandler, and Brad Pit have projects in development that multiple studios are engaging in a winner-take-all cage fight death match over.  Also, our litmus tests indicates what appears to be the unavoidable retirement of Late Night TV!!!
