    Interview with Mort Mic Podcast

They say "nobody knows what happens when we die."
    But I disagree.

Because this week I had the privilege of sitting down with Jem and Red from Mort Mic.
A podcast dedicated to casual discussions on death and dying.

Jem, forensic and autopsy specialist and Red, a mortician, know exactly what happens after you die. They see it every day. And boy howdy, do they have some stories to tell!

So sit back, put your feet up, and pull that tag off your toe.
We're about to get all death positive up in here.

    Interview with Lynn K. Russell

    Interview with Lynn K. Russell

This week I had the privilege of speaking with author, speaker, and teacher, Lynn K. Russell.
In addition to that already impressive list of credentials, Lynn is both an active spiritual practitioner, as well as a highly accomplished researcher.
In fact, her book THE WONDER OF YOU: What the Near-Death Experience Tells You About Yourself   now in it's second edition, is the culmination of over 2500 documented and throughly researched cases of near death experiences.
Lynn's sincere and deliberate approach, combined with her own personal experiences, gives her a unique advantage in dealing with a topic most people willfully turn a blind eye to.

The question isn't "What happens when we die?"
It's "What happens to our consciousness when our physical bodies stop functioning?"

Find out in this week's episode.
And you can learn more about Lynn on her website:

And THE WONDER OF YOU: What the Near-Death Experience Tells You About Yourself is available right now on Amazon.

    Interview with Deborah Hanlon

    Interview with Deborah Hanlon

I'm DEADicating the entire month of March to the topic of Death.
    ...get it?....eh...DEADicating....damn I'm good.

I'll be exploring the physical, the emotional, and the spiritual side of what happens when we shuffle off this mortal coil.
    What happens?
    Where do we go?
    Is there really a Heaven?
Do worms in fact play pinochle on your snout?
    How do you play pinochle?
    So on and so forth.

Kicking off this month of muerte is Intuitive Medium, Deborah Hanlon.

Hosting a podcast like this one gives me an opportunity to speak one-on-one with some truly amazing people.
Deborah Hanlon is one of those people.

Despite what your personal opinions might be of mediums and mediumship, there is simply no denying Deborah’s extraordinary insight as well  as her unique perspective on the collective consciousness. She’s not an “I See Dead People” performer. But more of an “I Understand the Complete Picture” philosopher.
Both teacher and student. Professor and pupil. Deborah knows how ridiculous we all are. But also sees the potential we all have for collective awareness and super duper  cosmic awesomeness.

I consider it a privilege to have her as my guest.

    Check her out at: www.deborahhanlon.com

Deborah Hanlon is a Medium, Author and Teacher who lives to learn and teach fundamental energy consciousness principles, so that humans can reconnect to the True Nature and find balance.

Deborah mainly attributes most of her mediumship ability to the illness and death of her four-year-old brother, Christopher, when she was only three. Deborah believes that it was because she was so young and still so open that she knew very early on that her brother did not “die” as everyone else saw it.  Somewhere in her little mind and heart, she knew Christopher’s presence was always still here and she has been intrinsically determined to discover the ‘Proof” of the afterlife to share it with the world. The Proof came through a variety of mystical, unexplainable experiences that Deborah could not deny. Today, she is in the “Presence of Proof’ of an afterlife every day through working with her clients.

    Interview with Sam Merton

    Interview with Sam Merton

    HO
    LE
    SHIT

I honestly don't even know what to say about my conversation with Sam "Sammy Jo" Merton.
Nor do I think I have words adequate enough to describe her.
Sam is a goddamn force of nature.
    Like a tornado...
    With deltoids. ..
    And glutes made of iron.
But she's not just your regular run-of-the-mill fitness enthusiast or gym rat.
    Not even a little.
Sam is, first and foremost, a survivor.
And I don't mean that as some romantic metaphor.
The paramedics found her unconscious in a pool of her own blood. The victim of domestic abuse.
See, Sam wasn't always the confident badass she is now. Once upon a time, she was a morbidly obese kid with severe self esteem and self worth issues.
A childhood spent  numbing pain with food and eventually alcohol and drugs.
In and out of programs and bad relationships, she eventually ended up beaten half to death. Physically and emotionally.
But she survived. Because that's what she does.
She didn't give up because she doesn't know how.
Her story is not glamorous. It's fucking brutal.
But it's honest. It's real. And so is Sam.
And if her story doesn't move you, you might want to check yourself for a pulse.

This is a no shit, pull no punches, warts and all conversation and I promise, you do not want to miss it.

Thank you Sam for allowing me to help tell your story.

    Interview with John Giordano

    Interview with John Giordano

This week I was very fortunate to sit down and talk with John Giordano.

John is an author, speaker, recovering addict, and  expert in the treatment of addiction and mental health. He is the founder of The National Institute For Holistic Addiction Studies (NIFHAS).
He has over 35 Years of Pioneering Science-Based Holistic Treatments in Addiction Recovery and Mental Health.
His latest book, "Kid From the South Bronx Who Never Gave Up" is a tale of tribulations and triumph and is available right now on Amazon.

In his own words, "There is one thing in this world, one special lesson, one constant that has guided me through the turbulent waters of life, this infinite rule which most people know but ignore or who simply do not follow their life lessons. That is, no matter what, no matter the circumstances, the obstacles, the people that get in our way or things that slow us down, follow this one simple rule, "Never give up on your dreams, never let go of your passions, and especially never give up on yourself or a God of your understanding."

I couldn't have said it better myself.
Thank you John for the amazing conversation.

    Interview with Dave Dahl

    Interview with Dave Dahl

    Dave Dahl.
In his own words, "misfit", "worthless", "loser".

Dave is a lot of things.
He's an ex-con, having collectively spent over 15 years in prison.
He's an ex-drug addict. Getting hooked on methamphetamines in his 20's.
He's an ex-criminal. He's been homeless. Fought crushing bouts of depression, struggled with bipolar disorder, and survived the darkest suicidal ideations.

But make no mistake, Dave Dahl is not a loser.
Not even if he tells you he is.

Dave is a lot of things.
    Musician. Successful businessman. Visionary entrepreneur.
He's the creator and co-founder of Dave's Killer Breads.
    Yes, THAT Dave's Killer Breads.
The one you see on your supermarket shelves.
The logo of the guy with giant biceps holding a guitar.
    That's Dave.
And his "rags-to-riches" story is anything but cliche.

His journey from living on the streets to owning a penthouse is one he's told a thousand times.
And will likely tell a thousand more.
But it's his dedication to helping others...his commitment to reaching the people society has a tendency of leaving behind, that reveals his true legacy.
That is who Dave Dahl really is.

And I'm grateful to be able to share his story with you.

    Interview with Aaron Young

    Interview with Aaron Young

I honestly don't know where to start or how to begin describing Aaron Young.
If you saw him on the street, you'd think "There goes a fairly normal guy living a fairly normal life." After all, he's  young, good-looking and soft but well-spoken
If you thought about it more, you might decide to assume maybe he did some wild things as a teen. Maybe drank a little beer, smoked a little pot, got into some trouble.
Maybe even got arrested for something silly.
Like having an open container or loitering.
Following that path, in the end, you might conclude there was nothing special about Aaron and that his story was pretty unremarkable after all.

And that's where you would be wrong.

Aaron’s life, his journey, his story, is nothing short of cinematic.
In fact, mark my words, one day you will see what he's got to say played out on a big screen.

He’s experienced more in his short 47 years than most people would or could in 10 lifetimes.

    Explorer.
    Conservationist.
    Coach.
    Walking Human Catalyst.

    Survivor.

    Two stints in African prison.
    Wildlife behavior specialist.
    Tracker. Farmer. Devoted Father.

    His story is truly inspirational.
And the hour we spent talking doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface.
Aaron is the reason people like this podcast exist.
He's a Radical Human to his core.
I promise you, this is one you will not want to miss.

    Interview with Dieter Randolph

    Interview with Dieter Randolph

This week I had the incredible privilege of sitting down and talking to Dieter Randolph

    • Author.

    • Speaker.

    • Third-generation minister

    A truly fascinating guy.
…for real, he entered college at 13!

You don't even want to know what I was doing at 13.
    It's probably illegal these days.
    ....definitely immoral.
Best not to think about it.
