    The definition of lifespan is simple - it's the number of years that you live.  Defining healthspan is a bit more complicated.  In this podcast, Dr. Martin Katz and Dr. John Glidea discuss the physical, mental and community-related aspects of healthspan.

    Heart rate recovery ( HRR ) is commonly defined as the decrease of heart rate at 1 minute after cessation of exercise.  A 1999 study found Median HRR was 17 beats per minute, with a range from the 25th to the 75th percentile of 12 to 23 beats per minute. HRR under 13 is bad.
