    Podcast Summary

    • Believe in yourself, even if it feels delusionalConfidence, even if unfounded, can help you achieve goals and seize opportunities. Ignore self-doubt and focus on believing in yourself.

Being confident, even if it feels delusional, can help you achieve your goals. The speaker shares their personal experience of becoming psychotically confident and how it helped them despite having no objective reason to feel that way. They emphasize that everyone, including successful people like Gigi Hadid, believes in their abilities, no matter how unfounded it may seem. The speaker suggests ignoring the facts that may bring you down and focusing on believing in yourself, as this can help you move forward and seize opportunities. However, it's important to note that this approach doesn't excuse being a genuinely bad person. Instead, it's about recognizing and overcoming self-doubt and using confidence as a tool to propel oneself forward.

    • Embracing Individuality: Personal Reasons for Making ChoicesUnderstand that everyone has unique reasons for their choices, even if they seem unconventional. Embrace individuality, prioritize safety, and seek personalized solutions for your fitness, dating, and skincare needs.

People have unique reasons for making choices in their lives, even if those reasons may seem unusual or unconventional to others. The speaker shares her personal reason for not going to the gym, which is based on her fear of altering her body in ways she's not comfortable with. She also discusses her experiences with people in the public eye who have large egos and are unapologetic about their confidence. The speaker also emphasizes the importance of safety when dating, and promotes Tinder's safety features. Additionally, she highlights the importance of personalized skincare solutions, and recommends Curology for individuals with specific skin care needs. Overall, the speaker encourages embracing individuality and being true to oneself, even if it means making choices that may not align with societal expectations.

    • Believe in yourself quietlyGenuine confidence comes from within and doesn't require external validation. It's attractive when quiet and inner.

Genuine confidence comes from within and should not be shouted out to others. While it's important to believe in oneself and have self-assurance, there's a fine line between having a healthy belief in one's abilities and being delusional or insufferable. Confidence should not require external validation, and leaders or individuals who exude confidence do so through their actions and communication, not through boastful words. It's essential to recognize that we are not dogs with an alpha hierarchy and that humans communicate effectively, allowing us to have diplomatic leaders. Ultimately, confidence is most attractive when it's quiet and inner, allowing individuals to enter a room and interact with others as normal human beings.

    • Self-care impacts self-respect and self-worthSmall acts of self-care can lead to improved self-esteem and overall well-being by sending a message of worth and respect to oneself.

Self-care, no matter how small, can have a profound impact on self-respect and self-worth. The speaker shares an example of how not flushing the toilet became a symbol of disrespecting herself, leading her to reinforce the importance of cleanliness and hygiene. This simple act then spiraled into improving other aspects of her life, such as relationships and self-respect. The speaker emphasizes that self-care can look different for everyone, and it's essential to find what works best for you. By prioritizing self-care, even in small ways, we can send ourselves a message of worth and respect, leading to improved self-esteem and overall well-being.

    • Continuously evolve and improve yourself for personal growth and successSelf-confidence is important, but continuously improving oneself leads to better outcomes in life. Utilize tools for safer dating experiences and act fast when hiring for a business.

Having self-confidence is important, but it's not the only factor in personal growth and success. Thinking highly of oneself is beneficial, but it's essential to continuously evolve and improve oneself. Stagnation can lead to a lack of confidence and poor performance in various areas of life. Regarding safety while dating, utilizing tools like Tinder's Share My Day, Noonlight, and Are You Sure can help ensure a safer and more enjoyable experience. Lastly, when hiring for a business, acting fast with ZipRecruiter can help secure the most talented candidates before competitors do.

    • Small changes in daily life can boost confidenceSmall choices like wearing matching socks or using high-quality shampoo can lead to significant improvements in self-perception and overall well-being

Small changes in our daily lives can lead to significant improvements in our confidence and overall sense of self. The speaker shares an anecdote about how a friend's suggestion to wear matching socks led him to reevaluate his personal grooming habits, ultimately making him feel more put-together and confident. This small change, which no one else could see, had a profound impact on the speaker's mindset. Similarly, using high-quality shampoo, though unseen by others, also contributed to the speaker's newfound confidence. These seemingly insignificant changes serve as reminders that our personal choices, no matter how small, can have a meaningful impact on our self-perception and overall well-being.

    • Appreciating the small things that boost confidenceRecognizing and appreciating small things can enhance confidence and mood, even if there's no logical reason. Embrace individuality and reject labels of 'ugly'.

Small, seemingly insignificant things in our daily lives can have a significant impact on our confidence and mood, even if there's no logical reason for it. This can include matching socks, a good underwear-bra set, or being in a nice environment. The speaker also emphasizes that everyone is unique and attractive in their own way, and that our perceptions of attractiveness can change based on our experiences and emotions. Ultimately, it's important to recognize and appreciate the small things that make us feel good and boost our confidence, as these feelings can have a positive impact on our overall well-being. Additionally, the speaker encourages embracing individuality and rejecting the notion of "ugly" as a label.

    • Personalized Skincare with CurologyCurology offers customized skincare solutions through online quizzes, saving time, money, and leading to better results for specific skin concerns. Kindness and good intentions also positively impact our perceptions and interactions with others.

Everyone's skin is unique, and finding the right skincare solutions for individual needs can be a challenge. Curology offers a solution with personalized prescriptions formulated by licensed dermatology providers based on an online quiz. This customized approach can save time and money, as well as lead to better results for specific skin concerns. Additionally, the speaker shared a personal anecdote about how people's appearances can influence perceptions and how good intentions and kind words can make a significant difference in how we see and interact with others. Roald Dahl's quote about the power of good thoughts was also mentioned as a reminder of the importance of positive thinking and self-belief. Overall, the conversation emphasized the importance of personalized skincare and the positive impact of kindness and good intentions.

    • Perception and Self-Belief Impact AttractionBelieving in self-worth and positivity can attract good experiences, while negative self-talk and closed mindset can block them. Stay open, accountable, and resilient to navigate life's challenges.

The way we perceive ourselves and the energy we put out into the world significantly impacts what we attract into our lives. Negative self-talk and a lack of belief in our worth can unintentionally block good experiences. However, it's important to remember that even when we're feeling down, good things can still happen. Believing in our ability to positively contribute to the world and being open to receiving good vibes can help us manifest better experiences. It's crucial to maintain self-accountability and set strong boundaries to protect ourselves from harmful relationships and people. Remember, we are responsible for our own well-being and the world is full of potential challenges. By focusing on our personal growth and staying resilient, we can navigate through the creeps and the creeps' lies and create core memories.

    • Finding Confidence from WithinTrue confidence comes from self-awareness, self-acceptance, and personal growth, not from external factors like physical appearance or impulsive relationships.

True confidence comes from within and is not dependent on external factors like physical appearance or impulsive relationships. The speaker emphasizes that people, especially during their twenties, are still developing and may make mistakes. It's essential to take control of one's life and learn from experiences to build confidence. The speaker also dismisses the idea that confidence comes from going to the gym, stating that it's a shallow and temporary solution. Instead, confidence should be rooted in self-awareness, self-acceptance, and personal growth. The speaker shares her own struggles with growing up and finding confidence, including dealing with difficult relationships and avoiding places she shouldn't be. She also acknowledges that she may have said offensive things during the podcast but remains committed to expressing her thoughts honestly. Ultimately, the speaker encourages listeners to focus on their inner growth and to not be afraid of making mistakes as they navigate their way through life.

    Qutting Perfectionism

    Qutting Perfectionism

Perfectionism is a desire not to be seen for who we are but to hide and pretend that we are someone we are not.

Perfectionism is based on fear. Often, we strive for it since we don't want to fail or be seen who we are - with our failures, shortcomings, weaknesses AKA imperfections.

The most common fear is the fear of failure. But there is also fear of rejection, unworthiness or not being good enough for others because of our flaws.

Perfectionism doesn't let us take a risk because we fear failure, it numbs us because we push away negative (imperfect) emotions or make us control anything and everything to be, feel and look perfect.

Perfectionism is a deep issue for me since I've seen how it significantly impacted my life and the lives of others. In today's episode, I will share with you six tips on how to recognize, address, and heal the illusionary, "perfect" part of you.

    1. Self-talk (challenge your inner critic

    2. Define your self-worth

    3. Embrace the messiness

    4. Consider the fact that you may be codependent

    5. Adopt a growth mindset

    6. Forgive yourself

    960 The Voice of Truth

    960 The Voice of Truth

In your life, where does the voice of truth come from? Whose whispers gain your greatest attention?

Maybe it's the constant failures and short-comings.

Desire to be supported and encourage by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACThttp://facebook.com/groups/thewomenofimpact

Maybe it's the faults of your past.

Maybe it's your own belief that you're never good enough.

Why is it that we hang out with our stumbles and failures questioning our worth?

Never once did God hesitate when He created you; fearfully and wonderfully made, knowing every hair on your head.

Yet where is the voice of truth?

Is it the naysayers, the badgers, the mockers? Is that where your voice of truth is being solidified and defined?

I want you to really think about whom you are putting your trust in.

The K.I.S.S. ~ The Voice of Truth!

REFLECTION: Today, I want you to reflect on these three questions.

    1. Where is the voice of truth coming from?
    2. What is the voice of truth telling you?
    3. How are you using the voice of truth in your life?

If you are hearing God, the only voice of truth, then you know you are loved, given a gift of salvation, and grace for your life's journey.

That's the voice of truth you need to be listening to.

Not the negative CRAP, the doubts and drama of others, and not the daily sagas of self-centered mindsets.

It's all about control, earthly control. What happened to Heavenly control?

Let God wash away the torment of lies that threaten your greatness He's creating within you.

Let it go! Let God have it all!

    Give Him your heart.
Dedicate your life to glorify Him.
Rejoice with the voice of truth.

As you go out this week...

"One step at a time leads to miles of greatness!"

May God bless you this week in all your steps, in all your endeavors. Seek His guidance. Praise His name. The voice of truth!

How To Have a Healthy Relationship with Social Media

How To Have a Healthy Relationship with Social Media

Social media is a regular part of everyone's life and it can be a great tool to stay in touch with friends and family, support causes you care about, learn new information and stay up to date, find a community and can be a great creative outlet. However, excessive use of social media can have a lot of negative effects on mental health, so today I'm sharing how you can create a healthier relationship with social media and in turn improve your mental health.

    In this episode I discuss:

    • Curating a positive feed by unfollowing and blocking negative people or people you simply find yourself comparing yourself to and following people that make you feel good
    • Setting boundaries around your social media usage i.e. not checking your phone an hour before bed, at mealtimes or first thing in the morning
    • Setting an intention when checking social media so you are more aware of why exactly you are logging on and you consume more consciously
    • Taking a break from social media when you need it or deleting it completely if you feel it's negatively impacting you

You may be thinking 'I don't use social media that much' but I want to challenge you to check your screen time on your phone, after I checked mine, I realized I used it a lot more than I thought. I hope this episode helps you consume and share more consciously and encourages you to put your mental health first.
