    What It's All About 

    Trauma dumping is one of the most insidious relationship behaviors that no one likes to talk about. It plagues our friendships, our marriages, and even our closest family relationships. It destroys connections and destroys the sense of safety and support we seek in those we love. To dump your trauma, without permission, is the ultimate show of disrespect. And it's also a display of low emotional intelligence and selfish behavior.

    Have you been a victim of trauma dumping? Does someone in your life use this tool to manipulate or control you? When we don't ask permission before unloading our pain on  others, we can hurt them, create pain, and destroy the trust they have in us. This behavior  isn't benign or "a part of being a friend".  It's hurtful and emotional abusive. Set boundaries that protect yourself from trauma dumping in every form.
