The movie explores the mind's role in creating a vast and external world, primarily as a defense mechanism. The ego, acting as the sleeping mind, creates a world with a brain associated with the mind. Jesus explains that these neuro-electrical impulses are not thoughts and that the mind is much more potent than this make-believe brain.

The ultimate goal of spiritual awakening is to remember the power of the mind, as Jesus teaches us, that we are the dreamers of the world of dreams. This awareness of dreaming is the key to spiritual awakening, as it allows individuals to see there is no causation in the world and that they are just watching something that's over and done. The movie emphasizes the importance of recognizing the power of the divine mind and love, as nothing real can be threatened or unreal exists.

Learning to forgive from the Life of Jesus Christ. Commentary by David Hoffmeister.

We take a deeper look at what Jesus really means by, "Do you want to be right or happy?" David also shares some hilarious parables of life in Chapala. Everything is wonderful if we are simply willing to let go of our ideas about how we think things should look.

The ego is not committed to anything at all. It is like a wild child. Yet the goal of A Course in Miracles is Atonement which is a total commitment. So how do we move from being so wild and rebellious in our minds to accepting the goal of Atonement? The Holy Spirit and Jesus will give us many opportunities to develop commitment via temporary assignments in this world such as marriage, jobs, and various projects. They will all be let go of in the end but when used by the Spirit can be very helpful stepping stones to Awakening.

“Everything in this cosmos is part of a distractive device to keep you from remembering who you are. And whatever made this mesmerism, this hallucination, is pretty clever. This cleverness goes way beyond personal. This is the kind of cleverness that made up a whole world of unreality and convinced the mind that it is something else than what it is. It convinced the mind that it is limited instead of infinite and it is flesh instead of Spirit. Once you get a glimpse of that, then comes the listen-and-follow part because the same presence that created you as Spirit will guide you to unwind your mind from this ‘clever’ idea. It will take you back to the Source.”

Health is inner peace. Once you really go within and take everything back to the mind, it becomes clear that there are no health issues in the world because the world is causeless, It has no source, being not of God.

As long as we are deceived about our identity, we are in an extremely confused state. So confused that as Jesus says in ACIM, "you cannot judge your advances from your retreats."
As we allow our minds to be trained and become uncompromising in our desire for truth, we can start to have fun with this hypothetical world.

Often in this world we find ourselves wanting to be helpful and then finding ourselves conflicted and wondering, "How did this happen? How did I get in so much conflict? I was trying to help."
This talk explores the difference between false empathy and true empathy. When we first start taking a stance for truth and say, "No", to the false, often we are accused and judged by the world. Yet on this journey as we join with the Holy Spirit we are asked to say, "No", to many things. The more we do this, the more we experience that the fears in our mind simply melt away.

This world is a world of distraction. It was made to keep you mindless. As you start to pull away from these distractions it will seem that your life gets more tumultuous as you are turned upside down.
The top tier of your self concept or 'Face of Innocence', was made to prevent you from looking upon a self that you believe is 'draped with sin'.
As we join with our mighty companions and have the willingness and courage to look at this dark and hidden self, we approach what is underneath and what we are in truth; pure blazing light!
