    Over his career, 37 seasons as a coach, 32 as head coach, all at Westhampton Beach High School, Bass amassed 324 wins, making him the sixth winningest coach in Suffolk County (NY). 

    During his time coaching, he produced 246 All-League wrestlers, eight county champions, 13 state qualifiers, and six wrestlers were All-State. 

    Bass was named the Coach of the Year title seven times in his career, and in 2015 he was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. 

    Coach Bass talks about what he gained from coaching the sport for almost four decades, what it still means to him today and how he and wrestlers both changed over the years.

    Plus, he gives us the inside scoop on how good of a wrestler Dan was in high school.

    The Stalling podcast from Kabra Wrestling is now live. 

    On this episode, get to know hosts Brant Parsons and Dan Tria a little more before we begin the podcast journey. 

    Brant is the founder and executive editor of Kabra Wrestling. After being involved in the sport through sixth grade in Northeast Ohio, he became reacquainted in 2004 when he started covering high school wrestling for the Orlando Sentinel. He has covered Florida high school wrestling since then and started his own website in the summer of 2021. 

    Dan was introduced to wrestling in high school and competed in New York. He returned to the sport through his teaching career in Florida, taking on assistant coaching jobs before taking over at Suncoast High School in Riviera Beach.
