    About this Episode

Hey Hey Y'all. Welcome to our Mother's Day episode. For this episode we decided to explore ourselves as possible mothers, examine how we think we would show up in the role of a "Mother" and as a result learn about ourselves, our relationship with our mother and our thoughts on motherhood itself.

The agenda for this episode: THE DIC

Is always to DIC’ it down. Define, Impact, Cope.

This episode we will provide our personal definitions of what a Mother is and what type of Mother we think we’d be.

Then we will discuss the impact of the concept of “Motherhood” on our lives.

And Lastly, we talk about how we cope with our understanding, experiences, and feelings concerning the concept of “Motherhood” and our thoughts around what type of Mother we think we would be or want to be.

As usual we encourage you all to join in on the process and DIC down this topic for yourselves. We make each section clearly known, so feel free to pause throughout the sections to give yourself time to answer. If you want to. Maybe even jot down your answers and thoughts. Do what feels right for you.

ALSO,  be sure to tune in  for our "After Podcast" where we break down this topic on IG LIVE and have the conversation with you! WE ARE BACK to our SUNDAY Schedule. So, the next IG LIVE will be on 5/16/21 @ 9:30/6:30 PM ET/PT. Be sure to follow us so you don't miss it!

We've all done it. Thought about something unsavoryr...illegal... a crime and said "no, I could never, it would cost too much, it's too much of a risk...but what if it wasn't? What if you had a real "Get out of Jail" card?

That's what we talk about in this episode...if there were no consequences, what crime would we commit, why, and what would be the impact?

Season 4: Friends…How Many of Us Have Them in our 20s EP. 84

BOOM, you're suddenly 25, 29, or 32...or whatever age and you look up and ask yourself, "Damn, where did my friends go?"

    This is your episode.

Alot of us spend our years going through "Growing Pains" at different stages in our lives. When we are children, we go through physical growing pains from our bodys shifting and changing, as teens we tackle independence and sense of self as we learn to make our own decisions. And in our 20s (and 30s and ongoing really) we continue to grow as we hone our relationships as we transition  from our school age years, surrounded by friends, to seeing our socialization  needs and behavior change as that number of people dwindle down when enter our adult years.

Suggested by a lovely listener (Jessica, You Rock!...see what we did there), This episode we explore friendship, growth, and releasing (aka "The Great Shed" as social media calls it) in our mid 20s (and beyond), the impact in our lives, and how we did/will cope.

We make each section clearly know so that you can follow along and have this conversation with us, with others, with yourself, so feel free to pause where you see fit to give you time to write, journal, or just reflect…or just keep listening…do you!

Season 4: Do You Punish Yourself For Your Failures? EP. 83

Ever hear of Pride and Prejuidice? Well today we bring you "Failure and Punishment"...LOL.

Seriously,  this episode we are talking about.....failure in our lives and the ways in which we punish ourselves, and the impact of it all.

This is a topic I think everyone actively avoids in both  action and thought. Even in describing this episode, I feel like I am failing to fully capture the weight of this theme in our lives.

So, if you have ever felt like you failed, feel like youre failing...wonder if you failed...wonder what it feels like to fail...check out this episode. This is one of our deeper and more vulnerable topics spanning two areas of our lives.

    Season 4: Let Freedom Ring…EP. 81

    Season 4: Let Freedom Ring…EP. 81

“Freedom is never given voluntarily by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed." - MLK

You know when you open something with an MLK quote...or a quote in general, we are about to be on 10!

On this MLK day (when recorded), we decided to discuss one of the pillars of Dr. King's movement and that was...FREEDOM.

Or maybe this topic came up because we found ourselves at work one day, commiserating with a fellow colleague, and exclaimed why must we work for a living and if FREEDOM is an illusion?

You'll never know unless you listen to the episode...so just stop reading and go on and do that!

But if you must continue to read, this episode we define freedom, discuss the impact and why talking about this is even important, and lastly, we discuss how to cope with all of this.

We make each section clearly know so that you can follow along and have this conversation with us, with others, with yourself, so feel free to pause where you see fit to give you time to write, journal, or just reflect…or just keep listening…do you!
