As COVID-19 continues to bring our world to a halt, we keep trying to do a sports podcast in an age of no sports. Results are appropriately chaotic, even if still a lot of fun. A first time as we have a four-person pod with Dave, Shea, Vince & Matt all on board! - We do start with sports chat, as we briefly discuss the glorious week of Australian footy action right before hard quarantine measures truly hit Australian shores. Vince watched more than most Australians. - Chat then moves to the more serious questions of just when will we see these leagues come back, if ever - as well as the financial implications for leagues, particularly the AFL & NRL in Australia looking at some extreme measures to try and keep their leagues afloat. - Then the chaos reigns. Beer pong against ourselves. Live from Owen's bar. How we're dealing with our isolation, the beers, the wines, the tv shows. Stick with us, there's some good banter and info in there somewhere. UEFA have handed down a 2-year ban to the Citizens for FFP breaches - a story that will surely continue over the coming months. - The cheating scandal in MLB won't go away, as the opposition of the Astros intensifies with high profile players calling them and the league out for their bullish stances. - We review our alma maters season as the Oregon Ducks Football program returned to national relevance in 2019, and Vince met a Ducks fan at the Rose Bowl that proved the world can be incredibly small sometimes! - A little bit of Liverpool & EPL chat to finish off the pod on a real positive note for both of us - soz Shea. There is no way to summarize an episode that began within the hour of learning that Kobe Bryant had tragically passed far too soon. We were planning to record regardless, & we dive into a pod as best we can with this weighing heavy on our hearts. - After a little bit too long of an intro by Dave, Shea & Dave crack into our reaction to the shocking news of Kobe Bryant's passing. Our thoughts on the matchup, how the Chiefs & 49ers got there, & how we think the match might flow. - Lastly, we continue talking about the ongoing cheating scandal rocking Major League Baseball.
