    About this Episode

OD resident Allan had the pleasure of sharing the booth with SPINN ZINN last week @ The Techno Loft (11.26.11) and we were lucky to listen to his great mix live. We felt we had to share this feeling and we are exclusively releasing his mix for episode number 16. This is only an hour of the performance but just picture how the crowd was going crazy!! Enjoy In 2002, SpinnZinn moved to Europe and was dropped right into the heart of electronic dance music. His understanding and appreciation for electronic dance music grew tremendously, and by the age of 18 was playing guest spots in local nightclubs in and around Frankfurt, Germany. His mixing experience and music knowledge continued to grow alongside his passion for different types of dance music. In 2007, SpinnZinn moved to Miami to pursue a degree in Audio Engineering at the University of Miami. Outside the classroom, he joined the ranks of local radio station WVUM 90.5 and began hosting his own show, “Bassment Sessions”, every Thursday at 9pm. “Bassment Sessions” brings back quality tech-house and techno to the radio waves and features a new guest DJ every week. Today, SpinnZinn’s sound is a combination of house, tech-house, techno and minimal. It is this mix-mash of genres that gives his sets their high energy level and keeps fans on their toes. His sets have become a Miami favorite and are eagerly sought out by fans and techno junkies alike. SpinnZinn has held residencies in clubs all over Miami and he has even played at Ultra Music Festival 2010. He has been featured on a number of other radio shows and podcasts including Mocean District, SanedracHunter Presents, Wish Industry Radio and undergroundradio.tv. SpinnZinn’s original tracks can also be purchased on BeatPort.com

Both shared similar influences as Detroit Techno bridged the gap between their coasts. Both share over a decade of DJ experience crossing dance venues coast to coast. As solo production artists, they continue to push their growing sound, Ds and Cs music production however, is a mix of old school and nu school creating a unique but modern day sound. With obvious ties to Detroit, their sound digs into those influences and creates a new feel. Keep your eye on this young DJ/Producer as he propells Miami to the cutting edge of electronic music!!
