    OD PODCAST |019| Ev.K

    OD PODCAST |019| Ev.K
This week we are featuring Ev.k! Owls Dance is releasing his Naked Grooves 004 for this episode!! He worships in the esoteric Church of House. He preaches from the penetrating books of Frankie Knuckles & Carl Cox. His enthusiastic sermons are inspired by the finest artists of House Musik. When he is at his best, the deep bass flows through you like it’s your own thumping heartbeat. It is your heartbeat — made public for all the world to hear and enjoy. Your hopes and dreams are made real and dance on the boundless floor below. Others dance because they don’t have a choice; the weighty rhythm has taken hold of their limbs and you are all immersed in the cavernous sound of the beat. A child of the world... Ev.K was introduced to music at a young age when a distant relative played his Classical vinyl albums for him. He was intrigued by the way different instruments and sounds come together to create a symphony. His exposure to diverse cultures became the foundation on which the trinity of his sound would emerge. Born in Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, he later spent several years of his childhood in Paris, France, and Johannesburg, South Africa. At the age of 21 he moved to the United States. From the rhythmic beat of the African drums, to the sophistication of French melodies and variation, and the funk and groove of American Soul music, Ev.K’s style of playing stays true to the spirit of his varied influences. It is no wonder then, given his passion for sound, that he would eventually end up in the music industry. He became especially drawn to House musik in his early teens, and started spinning in 2001, spending the next 8 years learning and mastering his craft. In 2009, Ev.K was finally ready to share the rhythm of his soul with the music world. Moves in silence and stays underground... Creator of Project29, Ev.K has found a way of combining his many talents into a growing company, using his advertising, marketing, and problem solving skills to create unique events and merchandising opportunities. Part of his success comes from being able to surround himself with talented people whose skills and knowledge foster an environment of innovation. Ev.K, unwilling to stagnate, continues to develop ways to push himself and Project29 forward. TRACK-LISTING 1. Luke Solomon, Lost Cowboy - Spinach Boy (Original Mix) 2.
