Old School (2003) Review / Are Foo Fighters Done?

In Episode 34, we reach back into the Judd Apatow series of comedies from the early 2000's and cover 40 Year Old Virgin, starring Steve Carell. This was an episode we recorded a while back, but ran into technical issues during editing, so we re-watched and recorded this one to make it right!

This bonus episode was recorded in the summer of 2022, but we held onto it for a while as we were preparing to record our Top Gun episode. Unfortunately, we ran into some technical issues with that one, so we decided to keep it in the vault and  bring in the new year with a new episode and share our thoughts about Wedding Crashers. Enjoy!

In this episode, we recall another one of our favorite comedies, Old School. We also pay tribute to Taylor Hawkins and discuss wether or not the Foo Fighters will continue and how they might go about it.

Join Jay and Ryan as they discuss the new Ghostbusters Afterlife film. Is this one possibly the best sequel in the series, or did it fail to live up to the hype? After a long break, we're back to discuss one of our childhood favorites, Ghostbusters. With the release of the 2021 re-boot, we revisit this paranormal comedy gem and discuss our favorite scenes, characters, quotes, and more!

Our "Regret" of the episode is the new "Matrix Revolutions," which is quite possibly the worst re-boot in a long while. Listen to why Jay hated it so much.

The first new episode of 2021 brings our last Judd Apatow film for a while... This time Ryan and Jay talk about Knocked Up, a comedy featuring Seth Rogen, Katherine Heigl, Paul Rudd, and Leslie Mann.  This 2007 comedy was a hit at the box office that propelled the careers of Jonah Hill, Jason Segel, and several other comedy stars that would land larger roles in the late 2010's.
