    Ramona: Tijuana's New Romantics

RAMONA are one of Tijuana's leading indie pop acts with a sound that straddles the psychedelic sixties groovy (and romantic) garage sounds of Mexico and East LA Chicano soul creating some of the hippest sounds you'll hear today. They've collaborated with Ximena Sarinana, David Velasco (Porter), and have built an irresistibly cool body of musical works winning them fans on both sides of the border. Their creative use of video shows shows their strengths on and off stage. Drummer Omar Cordoba joins Bakotunes by phone for a quick tourstop interview the morning after the band's show at The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA. Recorded 3-7-24. Episode contains the songs, "La Boda," "No Te Vayas" (with Ximena Sarinana), and "Una Cosa Lleva a La Otra"(with David Velasco). Enjoy! Catch Ramona live at Temblor Brewing Co. in Bakersfield on Saturday, March 9th at 8pm, along with openers Twin Seas, and The Citie. Info at Numbskullshows.com.
