    About this Episode

In this episode I hit record while on the road (and highly caffeinated so bare with the the speed of my talking). On this roadtrip I was reflecting on where I was this time last year and wanted to share how we all should be celebrating our progress. I feel like we don’t set aside a conversation within ourselves to look back and reflect on all our growth. To be able to soak in the pride and congratulate ourselves for real! So that is exactly what I am preaching today. As well as briefly opening up about my 2022 resolution that will later inspire pt2. Furthermore, if it calls you I encourage you to set an intention for 2023 because WHY NOT?! I hope you enjoy this episode and happy new year :)

So you’re having those ‘keep you up at night’ thoughts again. Those trippy thoughts/rabbit holes and you think you’re going crazy. You’re not alone. Here are some ways and advice that has helped me let go of some of those creeping anxious thoughts about the unknown, and how to be more present. I also dive into my thoughts on the new moon in aries and how I approach astrology/conscious bias.

How to Have Hard Conversations, Identifying Judgmental People and Communicating Effectively
Life’s too short for miscommunication revealed in this episode! This episode talks about how to have those awkward conversations with loved ones and what setting boundaries does for your relationships. This is a long one but it’s a special one to me as it really dives into my life motto (and this podcasts title) “life’s too short for miscommunication”. I hope you enjoy these steps and as always let me know your thoughts in the reviews or my instagram! @jessicacalderonnn. Connecting with you guys makes this all so fulfilling. I am always open to have a conversation in my dms :) enjoy!

Ego test- Staying True to What you Want Isn’t Always Black and White

Ego test- Staying True to What you Want Isn’t Always Black and White
In this episode i share a story post run epiphany (which seem to happen quite often haha) where i noticed my ego being tested. During a very transitional vulnerable phase of life whether it be post grad, just moved to new city, just quit a job, or job hunting! Whatever it is, it can be easy to let outside opinions cloud your intuition and cause you to project. I wanted to record this episode to document my feelings in this moment of realization and maybe someone out there can relate :)

Accepting Your Ancestors- Body Acceptance Through A New Perspective

Accepting Your Ancestors- Body Acceptance Through A New Perspective
In this episode I share an old voice memo that I recorded months before “Life’s Too Short for Miscommunication”was invented. I share my perspective on body acceptance rather than body positivity. Looking at our bodies as a symbol of a connection to our ancestros. Our bodies are perfectly designed to carry us through this life and to be mad at your DNA, despise your bone structure, or how your body stores fat is normal but understanding that it was all designed with a purpose to create you is something I wanted to note. The journey is not linear and I discuss that but in that moment I showed a deeper level of gratitude for my body and wanted to spread the message :)

The Art of Dancing- Feeding the Soul, Moving Through Life
In this episode me and Cecily dive into the importance of dancing and how it impacts our daily life. Judgment and fear tends to holds us back when freeing ourselves creatively. We discuss in this episode how moving your body is essential to being human. Hope you enjoy this quick convo me and Cecily had one day by the river after a long awaited reunion. Cecily is one of my BEST friends ever and amazing artists! You can find her on instagram @labigkiffe and you can find me @jessicacalderonnn where my art website is linked in my bio :)
