    About this Episode

"Repast Baroque Ensemble (Amelia Roosevelt, violin; John Mark Rozendaal, viola da gamba; and Avi Stein, harpsichord), performs masterpieces from the German baroque at Engelman Recital Hall, Baruch Performing Arts Center, on February 11, 2009.

Many music lovers regard J.S. Bach (1685–1750) as the one of the pinnacles of Western music.

Described as “A graceful, energetic ensemble...” and acclaimed for its ""vital performances"" and “robust” playing by Allan Kozinn of The New York Times, Repast is a collaboration of three period-instrument virtuosi presenting vivid renditions of music of the baroque era."

    55 UnderGround: Kyler England
"Kyler England performs at Engelman Recital Hall, Baruch Performing Arts Center, on February 5, 2009 as part of 55 Underground Concert Series. Ben Butler joined Kyler on guitar.

Kyler England’s strong soulful voice has been compared to Sarah McLachlan and Patty Griffin, but Kyler has a style and charisma all her own: gorgeous, organic, pop music that speaks to you like a close friend. Her full-length “Simple Machine” marks her 5th studio release and follows a remarkable collection of award-winning songs to date.

Long Island born singer/songwriter Chris Fortney opens for Kyler England’s concert at Baruch College."
