S03 E16: Take On Me

Oh, we are so back! After a sudden 2 month-long hiatus from posting, Trail Mix makes their triumphant return (thanks to some help from our awesome new editor Luke!!!) with a new episode about the ICONIC Breakfast Club-themed romp from Season 3 of Degrassi: The Next Generation. This episode features a brand new segment called "Board Voyage", as well as a celebratory 50th episode awards ceremony! 

Becca and Robyn discuss the dramatic end to the two-part episode where Manny decides to get an abortion. They also discuss why sometimes characters in television make weird sandwiches. This episode of Trail Mix features a Manny-centered segment of "Song for the Star" as well as the return of the classic "Snack Time!"

Manny is PREGNANT and we are FREAKING OUT!!! Also Toby does some more hacking. This week on Trail Mix, special guest Luke joins us for a brand new installment of "Backstage with the Bitch!" where we learn all about Degrassi: The Next Generation's production budget. Then, Luke returns for an underwater edition of "Time Travel". 

This episode of Degrassi features: Emma feeling bitter over her breakup, Sean stealing stuff, Paige having a crush on her drivers ed teacher, and Spinner continuing to be an unimpressive boyfriend. This episode of Trail Mix features: the second installment of "Cocktail Character", a surprise edition of "LA Life with LA-anna", and the quickest round of "Dream Cast" ever recorded. You don't want to miss it! 

Becca and Robyn are ready to discuss the epic finale to this two-part Degrassi episode where Craig continues to be dumb, only this time he finally gets caught in all his lies! In this episode of Trail Mix, not only do our hosts dissect the two current Degrassi love triangles (Joey/Caitlin/Sydney and Craig/Manny/Ashley), they also play a Secret Life of the American Teenager edition of "TV Tussle," as well as a legendary round of "Super Powered Persona!"

There's no better way to ring in the month of April in real life, than with a Degrassi Christmas special! That's right: Craig and Joey are both spending their holiday season by being involved in (separate) love triangles! They both end up cheating! Like step-father like son <3. Trail Mix hosts Becca and Robyn spend some much-needed time catching up after their month-long hiatus, and also play a round of "Rollercoaster Review!"

Trail Mix returns after a brief hiatus with an episode full of "rick-rolling," just to really make you feel like you're back in the early aughts. In this episode of Degrassi, Terri is full-on dating Rick, but it turns out that Rick sucks! We hate Rick! Meanwhile, JT and Spinner get into a prank war. This episode of Trail Mix features the very first installment of a brand new segment: "Mazel Tov Toronto!" Becca also guides Robyn on a brunch-themed edition of "Time Travel." 

This episode of Trail Mix is jam-packed with special guests, as we have three certified Nuts joining the pod: Julia D, Julia P, and Sierra! The three Degrassi super fans go head to head to head in an extreme match of "Trail Mix Trivia."  After hosts Becca and Robyn take some time to discuss Manny's behavior at the teen rave, as well as Spinner's homophobic slumber party, our guests return for a round of the fan-favorite: "Snack Time!"

This episode of Trail Mix comes with a big TRIGGER WARNING for mentions of self harm. In this episode of Degrassi, Ellie has been having a rough go of it lately, causing her to turn to unhealthy coping mechanisms. Meanwhile, Terri and Toby share a really dumb sub-plot, where (according to Becca) Toby might say the name "Clarice." Becca quizzes Robyn in a special 2000's pop star edition of "Degrassi Guest Star or Bust!" 

Mr. Simpson has a visit from a past pal, and our hosts needed to bring a special guest in to help introduce him. Joining Trail Mix this week is Degrassi CSI (A.K.A. Mr. Ruebdogg), the ultimate fan of Wheels, a Degrassi Junior High OG and a member of the iconic band "The Zit Remedy." Mr. Ruebdogg comes prepared with an in-depth presentation on the history of Wheels. To cap off an exciting episode, Degrassi CSI joins our hosts for a Wheels-only edition of "Dream Cast!"
