    EPISODE SUMMARY

This podcast is dedicated to celebrating the journey of black women to embrace their natural hair, with our host, Lisa. E, Natural Born Sistah, who inspires black women to groom and confidently flaunt their natural hair.

In this episode Lisa E, a Natural Hair Mentor and Enthusiast, is talking about how “Natural Hair is Hard''.  No one said this journey of embracing your natural hair would be easy, especially with certain textures being the hardest when it comes to style-game and the opportunity to maintain natural hair health.

In this episode, Lisa talks about how water is not the best idea for 4c hair types as it shrinks the hair, leaving very few styling options for those who have shorter lengths.  Lisa has struggled with coarse hair and shrinkage at the beginning of her journey and was frustrated at the fact that this tip of using  water, left her without the opportunity to implement different hair styles due to the amount of shrinkage she retained from adding the water. And although adding water is important to any natural hair routine to attain the best manageability, she fought this idea and did not take part in its benefits of softening yet shrinking the hair.
