    Podcast Summary

    • Fear of social media complications and embarrassment when relationships endConsider the potential consequences and discomfort of sharing romantic relationships on social media before posting, as all good things come to an end.

Sharing romantic relationships on social media can lead to logistical complications and potential embarrassment when the relationship ends. The speaker shares her personal experience of having attractive relationships but choosing not to post about them online due to the fear of having to delete the content later. She emphasizes that this decision comes from being a private person and recognizing that all good things come to an end. While it may be tempting to share the joy and romance of a relationship on social media, it's essential to consider the potential consequences and discomfort that may come with deleting the content in the future.

    • Social Media and Relationships: A Complex IssueBe mindful of how social media can influence and shape relationships, both positively and negatively. Consider individual circumstances and comfort level before posting about a relationship online.

Social media and publicly displaying relationships can be a complex issue. While some people may enjoy sharing their happiness and connection with the world, it can also put undue pressure on the relationship and potentially lead to negative outcomes. The speaker expresses her concerns about losing control of her narrative and the potential for men to behave badly once they're in the public eye. She also acknowledges that everyone's experience is unique and that the decision to post about a relationship should depend on the individual's circumstances and comfort level. Ultimately, it's important to be mindful of how social media can influence and shape our relationships, both positively and negatively.

    • Social media can distort reality in relationshipsBe mindful of how online actions can be perceived and respect privacy to preserve authenticity in relationships

Social media can sometimes distort reality and lead to misunderstandings, especially when it comes to relationships. It's important to be mindful of how our online actions can be perceived, as they may not align with our offline reality. In the case of posting pictures of a significant other, it's essential to consider the potential implications, especially if the relationship dynamic is not clear to outsiders. While it's natural to want to share happy moments, it's crucial to remember that social media is not a complete representation of one's life and relationships. Additionally, it's important to respect each other's privacy and avoid using each other as props for personal gain or validation. Ultimately, it's essential to strike a balance between sharing online and preserving offline privacy and authenticity.

    • Considering the potential reactions before sharing social media contentSocial media posts can have unintended consequences, so it's important to think carefully before sharing ambiguous or potentially misleading images to avoid misunderstandings and unwanted attention.

Social media presence and the images we share can have unintended consequences. The speaker shares an experience where posting pictures with a man led to unwanted attention and harassment from another woman. She emphasizes the importance of considering the potential reactions and implications before sharing such content. The speaker also mentions her strategy of posting ambiguous images to instill fear in other men and to avoid misconceptions about her relationships. Overall, this discussion highlights the power of social media and the need to use it wisely and thoughtfully.

    • Mindful Sharing on Social Media About Romantic RelationshipsBe cautious about sharing intimate details online, respect personal boundaries, and avoid overexposing relationships to maintain privacy and avoid awkward situations.

Individuals should be mindful of what they share on social media regarding their romantic relationships. Sharing intimate details with the public can lead to embarrassment and unwanted associations. It's essential to respect personal boundaries and avoid overexposing relationships online. Not all men deserve to be publicly associated with you after a breakup. Social media usage should be done responsibly to maintain privacy and avoid awkward situations. Men's money is not off-limits, but being discreet is crucial to avoid causing harm or discomfort to others involved. Ultimately, privacy and discretion are essential in maintaining healthy relationships and personal reputations.

    • Considering the implications of sharing a partner onlineBe mindful of privacy, personal branding, and future relationships when sharing romantic content online. Control your narrative and personal identity.

Social media presence and relationships can be a complex mix. When sharing a partner online, consider the potential implications for privacy, personal branding, and future relationships. Sharing romantic content can lead to viral success but may also create challenges when the relationship ends. It's essential to ask yourself why you're sharing your partner and what potential risks or benefits come with it. Additionally, remember that maintaining control over your narrative and personal identity is crucial. The speaker suggests reading "Pocket Power from the Slum Flower" for further guidance on empowerment and self-love.

    • Quick inspiration and self-esteem boosts from 'Pocket Power from the Slumflower'Find confidence and focus on self-worth with random quotes from Chidera Eggerue's compact motivational book.

"Pocket Power from the Slumflower" by Chidera Eggerue is a quote book designed for quick inspiration and self-esteem boosts. Different from her longer-form books like "What A Time To Be Alone" and "How to Get Over a Boy," this book is meant to be used in moments of doubt or anxiety, especially in romantic situations. By opening the book to a random quote, readers can regain confidence and focus on their own worth and desires. The book is also part of a larger package, including a podcast, a patreon membership, a dilemma manual, and a group chat, offering further support and resources for those seeking guidance on relationships and self-love.

    • Empowering Women to Use Their Online Presence WiselyWomen should be mindful of who they share and endorse online, recognizing their worth and value, and using their online presence wisely and responsibly.

Women hold significant power in their online presence and should be mindful of who they choose to share and endorse. The Slumflower, in her podcast and written posts, encourages women to recognize their worth and value, and to be cautious about publicly proclaiming their relationships with men. By doing so, they may inadvertently be giving men access to more women. The Slumflower invites listeners and readers to join her Patreon community for more content that empowers and strengthens women. Ultimately, women are the "boss" and the "prize," and they owe it to themselves to use their online presence wisely and responsibly.

WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT MARRIED MEN...

WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT MARRIED MEN...
This episode was voted for by my patrons on Patreon! After what started out as a simple evening of sharing some anonymous insight from sex workers about the hidden reality of married men, the conversation snowballed into an Instagram stories-based discussion, where women across age groups, marital status, professions and lifestyles, were sending in their truths about the ways married men cheat, lie, and manipulate their way through marriage... In what's considered this podcast's most controversial episode so far, join The Slumflower as we tuck into this discourse and unveil the skeletons married women might be (unknowingly) helping their husbands hide! Identity & Custom User Experiences - How ID Helps Convert with Nancy Marzouk

Savvy digital marketers leverage user identification to create genuinely custom experiences for their customers because identity is a crucial part of today's online landscape.

Nancy Marzouk of MediaWallah joins me on the SEJ show to discuss the concept of identity data and how it becomes an integral part of digital advertising. In addition, we discuss the critical elements to have in place to create a successful approach.

We also get into clean rooms and clean tech vs. a "black box" approach and how AWS, Google & Snowflake's impacts on the ID data market will look like.

There's a lot that needs to go into how I design my identity strategy to fit not only the privacy talk about data governance and all that fun stuff but also works within the industry that I'm in and deals with the marketing stack that I've invested in. So that's really where identity by design comes in. It helps you understand. We help people understand the pieces of what a sustainable building-up of your identity graph might look like. –Nancy Marzouk, 06:19

The fact that the cookies were anonymous and that the workflow that was present for cookies was acceptable, but it's no longer viable when you're starting to deal with the first-party data. Because it's very sensitive information, creating a more secure workflow will be very important in the future. With that being said, it doesn't mean that retargeting goes away.

It just looks a little different.  –Nancy Marzouk, 10:41

There are different parts of identity. First, there's being able to identify an event or a session or something happening in a browser or something happening in the app so that you can do that targeting right then and there based on what the platform is that you're using. And then there's how do I take all that information and connect it to an individual or a user so that I can perhaps do some sophisticated audience modeling or attribution? –Nancy Marzouk, 26:12

It seems like the past three years. Google's been serving more and more publisher sites that are reviews or product-oriented reviews, recipe sites, whatever on the publisher side, as opposed to going directly to the source. So I think it will make that real estate more important from an advertising perspective. –Loren Baker, 19:01

People are looking to use their first-party data to bridge the gap and create a crosswalk between the information they need to understand about their marketing and the effectiveness of their marketing. –Nancy Marzouk, 05:17
