It's finally here. Ghostbusters. The film that caused a million virgins to cry into the void gets a look in. Put down your pitchforks. Andrew watched the latest Star Trek film - this time taking the idea of trekking into... well... beyond with Star Trek Beyond. The pun-tastic documentary on disgraced congressman Anthony Weiner gets sizzled to size in Weiner. Andrew then discusses many of the films he watched at this years Revelation Film Festival which are - deep breath - Suburra, Baskin, Atmo HorroX, Paths of the Soul, The Land of the Enlightened, All Things Ablaze and The Love Witch. Stick around at the end for a special song.

    Explicit Content

We return with another one of Andrew's most anticipated films of the year - High-Rise - which screened as part of this years Revelation Film Festival. Opening that festival was Jean-Marc Vallée's Jake Gyllenhaal dead wife flick, Demolition. Not keen on giving the men the entire spotlight we take a look at one of the best foreign language films of the year (hey, don't take our word for it, it was nominated for an Oscar), Mustang. Finally, we go full circle with Elisabeth Moss films and talk about Alex Ross Perry's Queen of Earth.

Did you miss us? We're back with out c*ntsatcheliest episode yet. It's a fairly long one, but we cover a lot of films and everything from politics, mental health, television, dating elderly women. It's all here. For some reason, Andrew dragged Bernadette along to see The BFG. He's eternally sorry for his actions. Andrew saw Finding Dory and repeats mostly what's already been said about that film. A while ago Andrew and Bernadette watched The Conjuring 2 which Bernadette is convinced has a subtitle but really, after lots of googling, it appears it doesn't. Bernadette utilised some random free tickets we got in the mail to see Money Monster. And finally, the romantic comedy/drama/wunderkind film Hello, My Name is Doris is discussed. Oh, and after that, a bit of a long discussion about what you should watch on TV. Also, the Revelation Film Festival gets a look in as Andrew and Bernadette suggest some films to check out while the festival is on. We also seem to be joined by a neighbour's dog along the way as well.

We're back after a week off with a massive show. We first off deal with the essential documentary Chasing Asylum which takes a hard - and risky - look at Australia's stance on asylum seekers. I highly recommend hitting the many links below and find out more information regarding this situation. Next up Andrew looks at one of the biggest bombs of the year, Warcraft. Next, the mutant turtle superhero film gets a look in with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. Shane Black is back with his noir-esque comedy The Nice Guys - do Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling match up to Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer? Finally, we look at the Japanese film An - or as it's known in America Sweet Bean.

An exciting week this week as we discuss what could be one of the best films of the year - Taika Waititi's Hunt for the Wilderpeople. Spoiler alert - it's a great film and you need to watch it as soon as you possibly can. Next up is Jeremy Saulnier's horror-esque film Green Room. From those two films we go a bit different with the clothing/museum documentary The First Monday in May. Finally, we touch on the soon-to-DVD/streaming rom-com How to Be Single, which in turn inspires Bernadette to go on about the misguided elphant-based comedy Grimsby.

The AB Film Review Two Year Anniversary Episode - Part Two

    Explicit Content

It's our two year anniversary. Yep, we've been doing this podcast for two years and haven't killed each other yet. To celebrate our anniversary, we fielded some questions from some listeners, while also answering a truck load of questions about films we raised to ourselves. We happen to get raging drunk here as well, so this very unedited podcast gets released into the world with minimal polish. As this is part two, I have little recollection of what is said in this episode, but, it's two hours of drunken discussion. Enjoy?

This week we welcome the return of Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne in the Nick Stoller directed comedy sequel Bad Neighbours 2, or as you Americans might call it, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising. We then split ways as Andrew discusses the Australian film Pawno and in turn also discusses why Australian cinema is so damn great and essential. Bernadette watched The Boss. Andrew discusses another Australian film with A Month of Sundays. Bernadette discusses the SAG nominated I Smile Back. Finally, we cover the Oscar nominated Trumbo and assess whether it depicts this part of history well or not.

    Captain America: Civil War Review

    Explicit Content

Well, it's another superhero film. This time, it's the third Captain America film which is really more of an Avengers 2.5 film rather than a full blown Captain America film. Being the massive superhero fans that we are, we try and tackle this film as best as possible. Fortunately, compared to other full episodes on these massive blockbuster films, we don't jump right into spoilers.
