    About this Episode

The last thing you should do when you are stressed at work is to eat.
Are you having a stressful day at the job? It is go-go-go all day, and you are tempted to eat lunch at your desk.

Your body under stress has activated your Flight or Fight response and is diverting energy from your digestive system to respond to physical danger.

It usually makes you eat too fast, just shoving it down your mouth to make the next deadline.
This can cause a myriad of health-related problems, including digestive disorders.

A working lunch is an oxymoron like jumbo shrimp.

It is called a lunch break for a reason. Most employees report that it gives them time to rest, recharge and focus on their tasks, making them more creative and enhancing their problem-solving skills.

Try eating your lunch away from your desk, and you will feel more energized to finish the day strong.
