    About this Episode

Have to admit, it's with a taste of sorrow that I release this episode. It's the last show covering the last album by the force of nature referred to as Lungfish. Not that there's not a handful of other albums to talk about in their catalog. There's just something so poignant and intimate about this release. At least I've got good company to say goodbye to this record with. Drew Lichtenberg is a theater worker, writer and professor. He's also a very warm guy and good friend, always up for a dive into the deepest waters of conversation. It was a pleasure having him on. Hope you enjoy.

LAY YOURSELF ASIDE Pt 1 / Conner Habib and Spen Syndrome

This episode the conversational waters ran overhand were so good that I had to cleave the baby in two. My old friend and bandmate Spen Syndrome (The Shivering/Bullets In/Stockholm Syndrome) drops in the stream to celebrate the majesty of Lay Yr'self Aside. Then Conner Habib, from the deeply esoteric and undeniably human  Against Everyone podcast and author of Hawk Mountain beams in from Ireland to drop some serious mystic science on us. Take with water.

LOVE IS LOVE / Joe Lally and Scott Sheridan

This episode is the opening of the door on one of, if not the, towering masterpiece albums of the band's catalog. Love is love, indeed. Join me and Scott Sheridan as we turn over the multi-faceted jewel of a first track on the album of the same name. Later in the show Joe Lally (Fugazi/Messthetics) joins the conversation/congregation. Shows like this one are why I love about doing this work.

PUT YOUR HAND IN MY HAND / Patrick Kindlon and Yah Soon

PUT YOUR HAND IN MY HAND / Patrick Kindlon and Yah Soon

With this episode,  we come to the end of the first official Lungfish album on Dischord. A song that foreshadows much of what's to come for this project. Yah Soon joins me once again to wade into the deep end of this track. Then Patrick Kindlon (Drug Church/Self Defense Family) joins us to continue our discussion about Higg's seemingly effortless command of language, Ray Cappo and many philosophical threads in between....

NON DUAL BLISS / Patrick Kindlon and Dan Shaw

NON DUAL BLISS / Patrick Kindlon and Dan Shaw

Beware! You are about to enter into a stream of conversation about perhaps one of the heaviest, deepest and darkest of early Lungfish tracks. By all accounts, their first epic composition. Dan Shaw, of the band Landowner, returns to take this beast on and try and make sense of the mental carnage this song delivers. Then  author/comic book writer/musician/podcaster Patrick Kindlon (Drug Church/Self Defense Family) joins me to plumb the depths of Lungfish obsession. I admit I'm afraid,....

REVEAL ME/ MY FOOL HEART - Arrington De Dionyso and Jon Evans

And we're back,...sorry for the slight pause/in-breath, but the show is definitely back and better than ever. Lots of exciting things on the horizon. Today's show was a fun one. First we deep dive two tracks with Jon Evans and the evolution of his Lungfish journey. Then we talk to the ridiculously prolific and talented mystic artist/musician Arrington De Dionyso. Please look up his work (both as a solo artist and as leader of the powerful Old Time Relijun) on band camp!
