She helps entrepreneurs & business owners get clear on their purpose,  develop the mindset of finishing strong,  and take intentional action to reach their most personal goals. She teaches parents how to raise confident, capable kids who grow up to become masters of their own lives.

A former music & dance studio owner, mom to 4 kids, and business coach, Robin understands the massive impact unintentional quitting - both for children and adults - has on confidence and self-esteem.

Using her unique blend of intuition, wisdom & experience, and her visionary approach, Robin loves to help her clients achieve their goals and live with greater impact, freedom, and joy.

    Show Notes:

This episode is Robin's personal process for identifying and accountably ending outdated commitments, promises & agreements self and with others.

    1. When we break an agreement with ourselves we can either judge it or accept it and release it.
    2. When we need to clean something up with someone else, we need to be prepared with specific steps.
    3. With others, ask to renegotiate & ask for what you want.
    4. Commit to creating a 'win-win' or nothing at all.

    Show Notes

Leaders have to coach, counsel, encourage and motivate. How we say what we say matters.

By first writing down our thoughts we  become better speakers, teachers, mentors, and coaches.

Issues in speaking (and teaching, mentoring, and coaching) come from a lack of clear, concise communication.

Our words, and tone, need to come from our gut.

Before we respond it's critical to take time to listen to the other person. Actively listen to what is said.

When speaking publicly in person arrive early enough so you can talk to people in the audience. Make sure your talk is going to resonate by asking what brought them today, what they hope to learn, what their experience has been, etc.

When speaking on Zoom, arrive early and engage with people there. Use the chat. Invite people to answer your questions in the chat so you can hear from more people. Ask the same questions you would in a live event.

During your talk, when telling your stories, do it in a way that makes the person who is listening see themselves in the story (i.e. the same thing happened to me! Or, I feel the same way). Be relatable.

Be yourself and connect with the people who resonate with you and your story. You don't need to try to be anyone else (like a speaker you admire or who has trained you).

Use your facial expression and gestures to connect with people. Vary your expression, your tone, and your energy.

Make your talk like a song. Songs have hooks, verses, choruses, bridges, dynamics, intros, and outros.  Listen to music and notice all the ways songs keep you engaged. Use the same ideas to make your talk engaging and keep people leaning in.

Listen to the radio announcers to understand vocal variety.

    1. It's critical to do our best to maintain our balance during unsettling times. One way to help ourselves is to watch what we allow into our lives (such as movies, media, and conversations).
    2. Each of us has natural cycles. These cycles happen in all areas of our lives including our business & personal life.

    3. It's very important to recharge yourself so you can give to your family, clients, and relationships. Recharging is doing what feels good to you like dancing, sleeping, walking, reading, exercising, etc...

    4. If we don't recharge, we eventually run out of juice. We become less effective.

    5. When we are able to sync our business cycle with our personal cycle, we have more to give our clients.
    6. It's good, and important to take breaks. Not only do we need breaks, but other people need breaks from us!
