As we look into the essentials for spiritual growth, we come to an important characteristic: being intentional. Being intentional means to do something on purpose, not by accident. And, when it comes to growing in our faith, it’s a trait we need to cultivate. Join us on Sunday as we look at how the Scriptures can help us take an active and intentional role in our pursuit of being like Jesus.

The subject for consideration today is (having a) positive attitude. No one can force this on another. But it is important to have as part of our character. Today we’ll look at some individuals who made a difference because of having a ‘positive attitude’.

Jesus’ great commission to his church is to make disciples. The gospel accounts tell us that Jesus himself made disciples through a small group of twelve men who would later become his apostles. This Sunday, we will see how small groups are essential to discipleship.

Have you given thought to the purpose of marriage? People get married for many purposes, but thankfully, God created marriage with the best of purposes in mind. In marriage we get to “image” Him in a special way, and we get to help our spouse grow. But, as we might expect, this does not happen automatically. Join us on Sunday as we look into God’s purpose for marriage, and how we can experience the blessings of a marriage that’s focused on His purpose.

God calls his church toward generational faithfulness. This Sunday, we continue our series on the various roles in spiritual growth, as we tackle the role of parents in family discipleship.

As we continue to look at how we grow spiritually, our attention turns to our God. What is His part in our spiritual growth? How does He help us with that? Join us this week as we explore how God not only sets the path of growth before us, but also helps us to walk in it.

Jesus tells us that the greatest command is to love God with all of our being: mind, soul, heart, and strength. In other words, head, heart, and hands. And so it is with all of our being that we grow in our relationship with him!

God wants all of us to grow spiritually, and in His wisdom, He calls us to pursue this growth in a community of Jesus-followers called the Church. The bible describes this community as a body, and like the human body, the Church will experience more growth by focusing on one another than it will if each member focuses on itself. Join us on Sunday as we look at how we can experience the beauty of growing together in the body of Christ.

When a person is baptized, they are beginning their spiritual Walk with Christ. They are spiritual newborns. Like babies, they are vulnerable to many things. They need to grow and get stronger. How can they grow up? How do they know they are?

This Sunday we’ll begin our pursuit towards spiritual growth and maturity in 2024. The goal? Being more like Jesus. According to the Bible, the best life we can live is one that is dedicated to and patterned after the image of our Creator. Join us as we unpack the implications of this and how we can pursue Being Like Jesus in our lives today.
