The Parable of the Wheat and Tares is one of the stories Jesus told about judgment. In some ways, it surprises us. We see an important idea about God’s judgment – punishment is not immediate (that is, we are not punished the moment we sin). Rather, punishment is ultimate (it happens at the final judgment). Why is this important for us?
