the company that identifies strategies, business opportunities, and new technologies. Which leads to the development of new capabilities and architectures with partners, new business models and new industry structures to serve those opportunities.

Moreover, he has 10+ years of experience as a graphic designer. His design portfolio includes works such as Roadr ’s Pitch Deck, user and specialist apps, letterhead, One Pager, just to name a few.

Celso holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with a minor in
Physics from Texas Tech University.

Shortly after departing Apple, he worked at Exodus Communications with Ellen Hancock, Exodus’ CEO who was Apple’s former CTO. He co-founded GPS company Wheels of Zeus with Apple’s co-founder Steve Wozniak in 2001, which was sold in 2006. Alex was Chief Technology Officer, at Power Assure and then Vice President at Vigilent before starting Ripcord while a contractor at NASA working for the CTO. Alex was CEO at Ripcord from 2014-2021 and remains on the Board of Directors. Alex is on the Board of Directors of The Institute for the Study of Knowledge Management in Education (ISKME). He is a on the mentor board of Orange Fab and an advisor to Astra Space.

Prior experiences include space-focused consulting in Washington D.C., crafting national space policy in Congress, aerospace startups, and astrophysical research. Mr. Rosseau was an honors student from a top-ranked college with majors in both astronomy and economics; his academic work has emphasized research on the commercial space industry, including authoring publications in The Harvard Business Review, Harvard Business Publishing, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), and the American Astronomical Society (AAS). His work and opinions have appeared in popular media, such as PBS’s NOVA, Newsweek, The Washington Post, Harvard Magazine, and The Space Show. He is a recognized leader among the new generation of space professionals, particularly for his deep subject matter knowledge, clear communication of complex ideas, formulation & execution of strategic visions, and leadership of high-performing teams.

Before becoming the CEO of Cognitive Space, Scott was the CTO at BlackSky, a satellite analytics company that recently IPO’d as the latest “New Space unicorn”. Before BlackSky, Scott was responsible for Product & Platform Development at Maxar. Scott is also an advisor/mentor with the Techstars “New Space” investment portfolios – a venture capital accelerator for startups.
