Referencing the work of John Peacock, Andrew details an overview of what it might have actually been like to live during the time Siddhartha Gautama walked the Earth, and most importantly, how we can understand the significance of the Buddha's teachings within the context of the Religious, Economic and Social setting of the time. In this episode Rev. Mikey Noechel offers a guided meditation of Mudita or sympathetic joy. We begin the meditation by offering these phrases to ourselves:

"May I open to the goodness in my life.

    May my happiness grow.

May I be filled with joy."

And then we expand our practice by offering these phrases to someone who is ease to be happy for:

"May I open to the happiness in your life.

    May your happiness grow.

May you be filled with joy."
