2 Queer Arabz talk with their good friend, and talented Iraqi artist, Dena al-Adeeb. They discuss her past artistic work, the personalization of her political artwork, and how she connects her past to the future. Dena's recent performance art piece, and prose poem, are discussed in detail, and both connect to her future work in Iraq, which her kid will be part of.  Dena helps us understand the impacts of war and displacement from a very personal perspective through both art and scholarship. Liad, as a performance artist, filmmaker and musician, uses her artistic work to highlight a range of political and social issues, from Palestinian solidarity activism to climate change. Liad, an ex-sex worker who supports sex workers in Berlin, de-stigmatizes what it means to be in the profession.
