    Report for February 19-25, 2024

    Report for February 19-25, 2024

This week's show features interviews with Ryan from ART Construction and RJ Boyle with RJ Boyle Studios. Ryan discusses factors to consider when planning or upgrading a dock like materials, design, size, and permitting process. He recommends building docks sturdier than required to withstand storms. RJ talks about choosing the right swordfishing rod based on use case. Key characteristics included a number 4 butt, ring guides, and a Winthrop tip. He described light, medium, and heavy action rods and said the medium is most popular. RJ also discussed using the right drag and not judging it based on rod bend alone. Both provided helpful tips that will benefit anglers in planning projects and catching fish.

On this episode we also talk with our newest sponsor of Great Days Outdoor, Chris Price with formerly Blue Water Ship Stores that is now BOW Blue Water Marine Service, same location and phone number in Foley Alabama.

Chris, today we are going to be talking about marine generators, trying to help people see around corners and prevent issues before they arise, or even before people purchase a new generator or are looking to upgrade their current system.

I think a question a lot of boat owners or potential boat owners have is how much generator do I need? Can you help customers determine the right generator size and power capacity for their needs? And what factors determine this?

What are the different price points for marine generators you offer, and what features do customers get for those prices?

When it comes to placement of your generator, what are some things you need to think about? Weight distribution, water, humidity, saltwater exposure etc.

Can you walk me through the most common issues that occur with marine generators?

How do you diagnose issues that are not immediately apparent, such as intermittent power failures?

What are the safety protocols one should follow while troubleshooting a marine generator?

In your experience, what are the typical signs that a marine generator is nearing the end of its life cycle vs. needing a repair?

How often do marine generators need to be replaced entirely, and what are the most common reasons for this?

Could you explain your after-sales service policies? What kind of support can a customer expect post-purchase? What about warranty?

What regular maintenance procedures do you recommend for the typical marine generator?

Could you discuss any financing options or payment plans you offer for customers who need flexibility?

IIf people want to get in touch with you regarding their generator or electronics in general, where would you point them?
