We must not make it increasingly challenging for those around to recognize us as true followers of our Lord Jesus Christ. Paul warns Christians of the great danger (Eph.4:17-25) in not protecting ourselves from the ungodly influences around us. If we disregard this stern warning, we can find ourselves thinking and acting in ways that are in contrast and diametrically opposed to the Word of God that once directed our lives. The result is a life of thinking, reasoning, and acting that serves to camouflage who we are, who God is, and the timeless truth of God's word. This is not only a great detriment to us, but to those around us who are in desperate need of the saving and liberating work of the Savior - Jesus Christ.

It was not too very long ago that life in this world was much simpler and more tranquil than it is today. In reality, today's world is becoming more and more complex and perplexing. This shouldn't surprise us, seeing that the Word of God clearly lets us know that this would occur. In this series of messages, Pastor Barney looks at that which is very crucial and indispensable in that of being a true world overcomer and walking pleasing unto the Lord in times like these.

What we're facing today with COV-19 is no laughing matter. But, just as serious and very possibly lingering on long after the virus issue subsides is the effect of fear, panic, and anxiety and our not having dealt with them as we should. This series presents the antidote to these three destructive forces.

The "Joy of the Lord" is our strength. The "Joy of the Lord" can empower and sustain us in and through whatever we may face. We have seen what it can do, but how do we get it and how do we retain it? But, the keys to victory in one world are of no less importance, power, and effectiveness in the new one. In this Easter message delivered on 4/21/19, Pastor Barney takes us on a journey through the life and adventures of Peter, taken from Luke 22:31-33 as he explains how essential hope is to human life and shows us how the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead cements our access to a living hope and gives us access to ever present resurrection power operating in our everyday lives.
