    36. Back to the Basics: Doctrine of God

In this particular podcast session, my co-host, Alison, and I reconnected, sharing what has been transpiring in our personal lives and discussing our unique fitness journeys. As we transition into a new season of our podcast, we began to dissect the complex doctrines of Christianity. Our starting point was a deep dive into the understanding of the nature of God, specifically the Trinity.

We explored various scriptures across both Testaments of the Bible. Through these texts, we highlighted the diverse representations of the Trinity—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. In doing so, we also examined the different attributes of God. These are divided into two categories: incommunicable attributes, those exclusive to God, and communicable attributes, characteristics that humans can also embody imperfectly.

Towards the end of the episode, Alison and I decided to engage our listeners with a challenge. We encouraged them to comb through the Old Testament and identify a specific character indicative of Jesus's presence before his incarnation. It was an enriching discussion, deepening our understanding of the triune God, and we hope it signals a prosperous start to the new podcast season.
