Luo Binghe tries some new techniques he’s learned from reading The Regret of Chunhan, and a new series called The Song of Bingqiu. A pot of wine is involved. A few weeks later, the disciples chase Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe off the mountain. They decide to travel to Shuang Hu City, where they run into Madam Meiyin. Shen Qingqiu realizes that all her predictions came true. Then they go to Chen Manor to help remove an evil spirit. It turns out to be the skinner demon, whose spirit is rested after finding out that Shen Qingqiu is being bleeped by his own disciple.

Shen Qingqiu is stuck in Luo Binghe’s dream realm, and his heart aches to see Luo Binghe suffering alone. When he wakes up, he is overwhelmed by his love for Luo Binghe and embraces him. The next day, Luo Binghe suffers a qi deviation and transforms into a 5 year old boy. They hide in a human city while Luo Binghe recovers, but Luo Binghe becomes jealous when the neighborhood aunties want to matchmake Shen Qingqiu. They flee to Cang Qiong Mountain, but there is a huge misunderstanding when everyone thinks that Shen Qingqiu gave birth to a son! Luo Binghe is frustrated by his powerless self, afraid that Shen Qingqiu will leave him, but Shen Qingqiu promises to always choose him.

Shang Qinghua runs away from Mobei Jun and decides to return to his original world, but he just can’t seem to click the button to return. While wandering, he runs into Mobei Jun’s uncle, who tries to rip off his arm. But Mobei Jun arrives just in time, saving him. Shang Qinghua decides that he’ll stay in PIDW and become a writer, he just loves his story too much to leave. In the next chapter, Shen Qingqiu finds himself stuck in a dream realm, reliving Luo Binghe’s memories. Luo Binghe holds Shen Qingqiu’s corpse and uses spiritual energy to mend his body. Shen Qingqiu is reminded of a winter night where he also healed a teenage Luo Binghe’s injuries by hugging him and transferring spiritual energy. In the flashback, Luo Binghe squirms and cries out, and Shen Qingqiu wonders if he’s actually terrible at healing.

After the battle on Mai Gu Ridge, the system offers Shang Qinghua a way to return home. But before Shang Qinghua can make a decision, Mobei Jun appears to take him to the demon realm for his succession ceremony. Shang Qinghua and Mobei Jun get into an argument, and Shang Qinghua is told to leave. But as Shang Qinghua is leaving, he sees Mobei Jun’s uncle Linguang-Jun arriving. Worried that Linguang-Jun will kill Mobei Jun, Shang Qinghua sneaks back and hides in the ceiling. When Linguang-Jun finally makes his move, Shang Qinghua interrupts and pretends to get revenge on Mobei Jun. He throws out a fire spell that is deadly to Mobei demons, but instead of attacking Mobei Jun, he creates a protective fire circle around them.

Shang Qinghua saves Mobei Jun, and ends up taking care of him when he gets sick from his injuries. When he returns to the sect, he becomes a spy for Mobei Jun, and he proves his worth by becoming the head disciple. As the head disciple, he gets sent on more dangerous missions, and eventually he is sent on a mission with Shen Qingqiu and Liu Qingge. However Shen Qingqiu and Liu Qingge hate each other, and they end up fighting and parting ways. Shang Qinghua gives a heartfelt warning to Shen Qingqiu, saying that if he ever sees someone fall into a qi deviation, he needs to remain calm and find help, instead of rashly trying to save them. Shen Qingqiu scoffs at the idea that he would voluntarily help anyone.

We learn the history of Zhuzhi-lang, and how he became the general of Tianlang-jun. Though Tianlang-jun forces himself to hate humans after being betrayed by Su Xiyan, in the end, he finds that he can’t hate humans after all, even if it's painful to love them. Next, we are in the perspective of Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky, the “great” author of PIDW. He gets transmigrated into the novel after dying while responding to hate comments. He is in the body of Shang Qinghua and is running an errand, when he runs into Mobei Jun, a vicious ice demon. Mobei Jun kills all the other disciples, but instead of fighting, Shang Qinghua clings to Mobei Jun’s leg and begs for his life.

We learn more about the tense history between Shen Qingqiu, Yue Qingyuan, and Liu Qingge. After Shen Qingqiu becomes the sect lord, he enters the Ling Xi caves to better his cultivation since he feels that he’s falling behind his peers. He almost enters a qi deviation, until Yue Qingyuan saves him. Later, Shen Qingqiu is imprisoned and he realizes that he has tormented Yue Qingyuan enough. He tells him to get lost, and they never speak again. Despite this, Yue Qingyuan goes to save Shen Qingqiu from Luo Binghe and falls into a trap which kills him. Shen Qingqiu is left to contemplate the bitter consequences of their lives.

We cover the 2nd part of the succubi episode, where Madam Meiyin does fortune telling on Shen Qingqiu’s love life. Liu Qingge is secretly wondering if the person she’s describing is him. But then Madam Meiyin says Liu Qingge is not his fated one, and he flies into a rage. In the next extra chapter, we learn the history between Yue Qingyuan and Shen Qingqiu. Shen Jiu and Yue Qi and beggars, but after a fight Shen Jiu ends up getting purchased by a sadistic young master named Qiu Jianluo. After Shen Jiu burns the manor and becomes Wu Yanzi’s disciple, he runs into Yue Qi again. But Yue Qi is now Yue Qingyuan, a distinguished cultivator. Wu Yanzi tries to kill him, but Shen Jiu saves him and kills his master instead.

Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe fight the original Luo Binghe, sending him away. Afterwards, Luo Binghe is devastated that his technique was bad, so Shen Qingqiu offers to practice together to get better. Luo Binghe eagerly lays with Shen Qingqiu, but seriously his pillar is too big for Shen Qingqiu to take. At the end, Shen Qingqiu says it was terrible, and Luo Binghe happily offers to keep trying to get better. In the next bonus chapter, we’re in the past, with Shen Qingqiu and Liu Qingge working together to deal with some succubi. They enter Madam Meiyin’s cave and she offers to do some fortune telling.

Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe reunite. Since Luo Binghe is not welcome on Cang Qiong Mountain, Shen Qingqiu says that they can leave, and go where Luo Binghe is welcomed. He promises to never leave Luo Binghe again. Then we begin the bonus chapters, where Luo Binghe and Shen Qingqiu return to the demon realm together. After being separated for days, Shen Qingqiu finds an injured Luo Binghe and takes him to Qing Jing peak to heal. But this Luo Binghe turns out to be a fake Luo Binghe who takes advantage of Shen Qingqiu’s love. The real Luo Binghe arrives just in time. Shen Qingqiu realizes the Luo Binghe is fake because he doesn't have the scars that Shen Qingqiu gave him.

Luo Binghe goes into qi-deviation. Yue Qingyuan fights him, but almost dies from using his own blade. When Shen Qingqiu encounters Luo Binghe again, Xin Mo has completely taken over his mind, and Shen Qingqiu decides to dual cultivate with him to siphon out his demonic qi. When Luo Binghe is back to himself, he can’t accept Shen Qingqiu’s determination to self-detonate again, and vows to die with him together. But then the system rewards Shen Qingqiu with a new ability called “Self-Saving” that allows Shen Qingqiu to be revived with full HP only one time. When Shen Qingqiu wakes up, he is back on Cang Qiong Mountain Sect and surrounded by his sect members.

Tianlang-jun’s plan to merge the human and demon realms has begun. Everyone heads to the Luo River, where the demon realm’s Mai Gu Ridge is intersecting with it from the sky. Luo Binghe has appeared with a demon army to join forces with the cultivators to stop Tianlang-jun. A small group flies up to the ridge to face off against Tianlang-jun, but to everyone’s surprise Tianlang-jun and his general Zhuzhi-lang are in terrible shape. They are defeated quickly. But when Shen Qingqiu orders Tianlang-jun to stop feeding Xin Mo with demonic qi, it’s revealed that Tianlang-jun isn’t the one responsible for the merging realms.

Meng Mo shows Shen Qingqiu some of SJ’s memories. SJ was an abused slave in the Qiu household, until he learned cultivation and slaughtered his master and every man in the manor. He burns the whole estate down before joining a fake cultivation master to become an immortal. Several years pass and he becomes the peak lord, and Shen Qingqiu learns that he takes Luo Binghe as a disciple as petty revenge against Liu Qingge. After seeing all the suffering Luo Binghe goes through, Shen Qingqiu feels heartbroken. When he wakes up 5 days later, he finds that Luo Binghe has snuck in to see him and Shen Qingqiu admits he missed him.
