Hector is here from Guatemala illegally. This conversation is about what it takes for a person to leave his wife and four children to make the long and dangerous journey to the United States to find work so he can send money back to his family. He has been in the U.S.A. for six years, and he is heading back to Guatemala at the end of this year.

Ari Goldstein is a practicing gastroenterologist at Hudson Valley Gastroenterology, he is also a bass player, music enthusiast and is really into urban planning and design. Ari attended Jefferson Medical College and trained at The University of Illinois, The Mount Sinai Hospital and Montefiore Medical Center in New York city. She has worked as a food consultant to not-for-profits, developing mindful cooking workshops for children and adults alike. She maintains a holistic health and nutrition practice integrating yoga, meditation, and mindful food practices.
