Provision

Each of us have needs. Do you know what you need in this season of your life? As provider, God is not a vending machine nor a genie in a bottle. He is our loving Father who provides for all of our needs.

And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Boldness

We are called to be bold and courageous. What would change in your life if you had greater boldness? How would your prayer life change?

Fully Known

Miracles

There are 163 recorded miracles throughout the Bible. Do you believe God is a god of the miraculous and still performs miracles today, and if so what does it look like for you to walk in miracles?

For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power.

Listen

Are we as equally good at listening as we are at praying? Communication, even with God, is a two way street. May we be quick to listen and slow to speak in our relationship with our Heavenly Father.

Humility

Jesus is the king of the universe, and yet is the most humble of all. He is the one we look to as our model of perfect humility.

Listen, if you lift yourself up, you’ll be put down, but if you humble yourself, you’ll be honored.

What is Your Word?

Grace

Everything you need is found in the grace and favor of Jesus! It is only by His grace we are saved.

For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. Jesus - The Lord Saves

Every one of us requires a savior, and that savior is a man named Jesus, seated on a throne at the right hand of God. Praise His holy name!

For sin’s meager wages is death, but God’s lavish gift is life eternal, found in your union with our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. - Romans 6:23 TPT

Jesus explained, “I am the Way, I am the Truth, and I am the Life. No one comes next to the Father except through union with me. To know me is to know my Father too. And from now on you will realize that you have seen him and experienced him.” - John 14:6-7 TPT

The Names of God

Emmanuel - God with Us

The Creator of all things submits himself to his own creation, just so He can be with us. What kind of king leaves his throne to be with his people? This is who our God is.

Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel. - Isaiah 7:14 NASB 1995

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which translated means, “God with us.” - Matthew 1:23 NASB 1995

I heard a loud shout from the throne saying, “Look, the home of God is now among men, and he will live with them and they will be his people; yes, God himself will be among them. He will wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor pain. All of that has gone forever.” - Revelation 21:3-4 TLB

It has always been God’s desire to dwell with His people, from the very first moment of creation, throughout every page of the Bible, and to this very moment.

What practical steps can you take to be with God today? Blessing you to know God is with you. He has given up everything in order to do so.

The Names of God

Prince of Peace

Many Jews were disappointed by Jesus, as they were expecting a powerful ruler who would overthrow their enemies. What they got instead, was the Prince of Peace.

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; 
and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
- Romans 5:1 NASB 1995

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.

Everlasting Father

We have a good, Heavenly Father, and His son Jesus is the perfect representation of Him.

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; 
and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; but if I do them, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father.

The Names of God

Wonderful Counselor

Welcome to week 38 of The Names of God series where we are meditating on Wonderful Counselor. Wonderful in this context means “incomprehensible” or “completely beyond understanding” and that is the response to many of Jesus’ actions and teachings.

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
- Isaiah 9:6 NASB 1995

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written,
“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
And the cleverness of the clever I will set aside.”

This also comes from the Lord of hosts,
Who has made His counsel wonderful and His wisdom great.

Messiah - The Anointed One

Jesus is more than a man, he is the Messiah. Yet at the same time he is very much a man, just like you and me. Imagine what it was like for each person who encountered Jesus in the flesh, the anointed Son of God standing before them.

Behold, My Servant, whom I uphold; 
My chosen one in whom My soul delights.
 I have put My Spirit upon Him;
 He will bring forth justice to the nations.

The woman *said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ); when that One comes, He will declare all things to us.” Jesus *said to her, “I who speak to you am He.”
- John 4:25-26 NASB 1995

Therefore many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.

Logos - The Word

Jesus is the living word of God, and His words will endure forever.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.

The Lord is my light and my salvation;

Jehovah Hoseenu - The Lord Our Maker

You are fearfully and wonderfully made.

God is your maker. He doesn’t make mistakes and He doesn’t make junk. You are fearfully and wonderfully made.
