Jehovah Magen - The Lord My Shield

What do you think about God being a shield to you? The Lord as your defender?

After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying,
“Do not fear, Abram,
I am a shield to you;
Your reward shall be very great.”

in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

He will cover you and completely protect you with His pinions,
And under His wings you will find refuge;

This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.

Just as a father has compassion on his children,

Jehovah Hashopet - The Lord the Judge

Judgement is not an element of God’s character. It is a response to the choices of His creation, and is always gracious, merciful, and loving towards us.

For the Lord is our judge,
The Lord is our lawgiver,

He will save us—

The Lord is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.

How do you view the knowledge of God?

You cannot wrap your mind around God’s ways. When you sit with this truth, what stirs in your heart?

Christos - The Anointed One

Jesus is the bridge for humanity to reach heaven. All others, who were anointed to be representatives of Heaven on Earth, failed in some respect. But Jesus, the Messiah, the Christos, was anointed by both man and God, and fulfilled this role once and for all.

Then Jesus arrived from Galilee at the Jordan coming to John, to be baptized by him. But John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I have need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?” But Jesus answering said to him, “Permit it at this time; for in this way it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he permitted Him. After being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and lighting on Him, and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.” - Matthew 3:13-17 NASB

Jesus is more than a priest, he is our Great High Priest. He is more than a prophet, speaking on behalf of God, he is the Living Word of God itself. Jesus is more than a king, he is the King of kings and Lord of lords. Fully a man, yet fully God, Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.
