Michael Oher situation is exploration at its worst

Michael Oher situation is exploration at its worst

Either Michael Oher is shaking down the Tuohys, or he was exploited for a quick buck. Either way, this is reminiscent of the Danny Almonte scandal in a way: sports became a vehicle to manipulate family for money. It’s a lesson for leagues to prevent similar scandals years down the road.

Comedy has made the unbearable easier

Comedy has made the unbearable easier

Paul Reubens's (Pee-wee Herman) death comes at the height of political turmoil and a pandemic, with a laugh, needed more than ever. Comedy has made the unbearable easier to get through more than anything I can think of. For the sake of our mental and emotional health, we need a laugh more than ever in these troubled times.

Sports leagues need to turn their backs on gambling

Sports leagues need to turn their backs on gambling

The NCAA has no idea what it’s getting into tolerating anything involving betting the same goes for pro leagues in America. These leagues need to terminate relationships with betting apps and develop stricter zero-tolerance policies when it comes to employees wagering on sports. Otherwise, they’ll destroy themselves!

ESPN classic was taken for granted

ESPN classic was taken for granted

ESPN Classic was a novelty: a station that aired games decades before some of us were born. It wasn’t just Shows like the Sklar brother’s Cheap Seats and Sportcentury that were shown; it was entertaining documentaries and series like Friday Night Lights, too. This station was a time capsule fans took for granted.

    Glorified Cyber Bullying

    Glorified Cyber Bullying
can’t help but groan about the “Don’t Say Gay” bill in Florida: this is yet another example of the GOP’s long history of an anti-gay message.

Not that Liberal politics’ willingness to hassle journalists, Co-workers, and others close to the Internet mob‘s hit list is better: it’s become glorified cyber-bullying, not true activism like we saw with Martin Luther King and Susan B Anthony.
People on both sides have to understand: that this is costing them, potential supporters. And with good reason!

    Know yourself and your weakness

    Know yourself and your weakness
The 1996 film “Space Jam” is beloved by my generation, and I get it. That doesn’t mean the message was helpful for my generation. Dreams of being a pro athlete, movie star, or actor aren’t simply achieved through self-confidence and work. Unfortunately, too many kids don’t, and didn’t, have the talent to make such a career possible. Chase a dream, but know yourself and your weaknesses! For further information:

    Embarrassing Moment at the Oscars

    Embarrassing Moment at the Oscars
One poorly timed joke by Chris Rock and an act of assault by Will Smith have tainted both actors’ legacies, and this could destroy both their careers. While Rock failed to practice discretion with his particular joke, Will Smith getting violent only makes things worse. This made Hollywood look terrible, and the movies may fade from its place in pop culture after all. Honestly, it’s well deserved!

    NFL - Ditch the Combines

    NFL - Ditch the Combines
Dan Riley’s commentary is on the following: The NFL combines give people no idea how good incoming rookies really are, eschewing route running or reading an offense for weight lifting and the meaningless broad jump. The combines need to be replaced with a seven-on-seven flag football tourney. At least that would show how we’ll quarterbacks can read defenses and receivers can run routes! Enough is enough already, NFL-ditch the combines!
