Mona shares many stories of his interactions with most of the players from the 1960s including stories about Harmon Killebrew, Tony Oliva, Rod Carew, Jim Kaat, Billy Martin and many more.
Anthony Slama signed with the Twins in 2007. He put up dominant stats through the minor leagues before getting a big-league opportunity in parts of 2010 and 2011. Slama recently started 3 Week Beast, an online program designed to help 11-16 year old baseball and softball players work on their strength and conditioning. RHP Tyler Wells was the Twins Daily Minor League Starting Pitcher of the Year in 2018, but he missed all of 2019 due to Tommy John surgery. Find out what happened and how his rehab is progressing.
OF Jaylin Davis hit 35 minor league home runs between AA and AAA in 2019. He was traded to the San Francisco Giants at the July trade deadline and continued to mash. He was called up to the big leagues in September. We discuss his season, getting traded, his big league promotion and much more.
LHP Devin Smeltzer came to the Twins in a July 2018 trade from the Dodgers. He had gained notoriety because he met Chase Utley in Philadelphia as a childhood cancer patient. Then in Dodgers spring training a couple of years ago, he was brought into the clubhouse and the story was again told, this time with Utley in that clubhouse to meet him again.
Smeltzer has been terrific as a starting pitcher in AA and AAA so far this season, but he continues to support people with childhood cancer. Recently, he started the Catch Cancer Looking campaign, selling t-shirts with proceeds going to Katie's Krusaders.

Pat Dean is a 29-year-old pitcher. He was the Twins 3rd round draft pick in 2010 out of Boston College. He pitched for the Twins during the 2016 season, even beating Felix Hernandez for his first big league win. After the season, he went to Korea where he has pitched the past two seasons. Just last month it was announced that he was returning to the Twins on a minor league contract.
We ask him about a variety of topics including his big league call up, the decision to play in Korea and the differences in cultures and on the baseball field there. And we also talked about his decision to return to the Twins.
Brent Rooker hit 32 doubles and 22 homers in Double-A Chattanooga in his first full season of professional baseball in 2018. He earned a big league spring training invitation.
We talked to him about what Twins spring training has been like for him and what he has learned already. We talked about his 2018 season of ups and downs and what he wanted to work on going into the offseason. He was married in November as well.
Niko Guardado recently earned a leading role on the reboot of Party of Five. The 22-year-old has been acting in a variety of roles over the last decade. Guardado is the son of Minnesota Twins Hall of Famer Eddie Guardado.
