Qi - Life Force Energy to Heal Yourself

Qi - Life Force Energy to Heal Yourself

During our lock down in NZ I had a chance via zoom (although the recording was not great) to  have the pleasure of speaking to Sharron Rose.   Sharron has so many words of wisdom we could have talked all day.  She is an author, film maker, teacher, practitioner and healer;  the list goes on.  We chat about courage to be who you are and how the world needs an energetic climate change, an inner one and how the world is changing and people are starting to be ready to tackle their emotions.

With years and years of experience in teaching, researching, writing etc Sharron is an absolute gem and leaves the world a better place each day.

Healing is the key and the media is fear, fear, fear this is the perfect time for people to take their healing into their own hands instead of perhaps getting a pill!

    How Basic Corruption Cultivates

    How Basic Corruption Cultivates

Today we talk about a simple basic example of corruption and how it can happen and the need for any type of organisation to talk about it openly.
Perhaps you have found yourself in an awkward or serious situation where a person you work with or a friend acts inappropriately and does something when you are with them.  This has then naturally involved you and you are now entwined in their web.
The innocent party (you) is then forced to make a decision about whether to go along with the person who has started doing or has done something that is not professional, may be criminal or is against company or organisational guidelines, policies and procedures and/or ethically or morally wrong.  Usually it is detrimental to another human being eg. Bullying, assaulting, harassing, misleading, coercing or whatever the case maybe.
In this podcast I talk about how corruption can stem in an organisation and how at the time of someone’s action there is a reaction and your reaction from their action. Yes it gets complicated but there is no sitting on the fence here; because that in itself is an action.

    Scammers

    Scammers

It is a big problem these days where loneliness takes over and before you know it you are being a victim of a scammer.  It is not only costly financially but above all emotionally.  Unfortunately it is an easy thing for professional individuals and circles of “monsters” to prey on those that they know are weak.  Just like in nature humans are prey; the hunted at times.  Half the time these people don’t even meet their alleged “lover”.  If things sound too good, need I say more....
Talk to others and listen and report; before it’s too late.  Violence on women is still strong just in different ways.

    The BIggest Little Word

    The BIggest Little Word

There’s a struggle that happens internally for a lot of people.  It makes their temperatures increase and their anxiety heighten. .  It is when they are asked a question;  one that they already know the answer to but for some strange reason the answer that they want to say often comes out the opposite.  Yes this is about the biggest little word - No.

When All Else Fails Laugh Like a Kookaburra

When All Else Fails Laugh Like a Kookaburra

This is part 2 of Walking on the Wild Side which was inspired from when Ollie spent 8 days alone on Stewart Island.

We talk about the birds and do some stupid impersonations and do endeavour to make sure there is never a serious moment.

Make sure you have a kookaburra moment in life as sometimes everything gets too serious.

I didn't want to break the news to him but he really sounded more like a turkey.

The purpose of this short podcast is to smile and laugh and not take yourself too seriously as life really is too short.

So bird lovers please forgive us; this is not serious; if in doubt laugh like a kookaburra at least once a day loud and proud!

Walk on the Wild Side Part 1

Walk on the Wild Side Part 1

Ever thought what it would be like to see no one for 8 days?  In this podcast I talk to Ollie about his interaction with only nature; which is one of his favourite things.  We chat about the benefits and how nature really soothes  us in this busy world.  Don’t expect anything too serious; we are on a joy mission as we endeavour to impersonate the kookaburra; so bird lovers please forgive us; this is not serious; if in doubt laugh like a kookaburra.

    Your Voice Speaks Volumes

    Your Voice Speaks Volumes

In this podcast I have a conversation rather nervously with voice coach Sally Prosser who is an ex broadcaster and has years of experience in voice.  She is not a singing teacher but she is someone who everyone could gain from getting to know.  Whether you want to improve your professional communication or have to give a speech, going to an interview, managing people or just want to feel heard.  She also assists organisations to improve their results by helping their employees communicate better...

    Sarah the Pole Dancer

    Sarah the Pole Dancer

Sarah was always into dancing but felt she was never up to speed and would never be a prima ballerina.  She went in and out of dance and her body, mind and spirit knew dance is where her heart throbbed. However she always felt it wasn’t quite working; she wasn’t quite right, it wasn’t working.  She knew she wasn’t going to be a ballet dancer in front of the world stage; yet this feeling of failure nearly made her miss out on her dancing passion..  Every time she saw dancers, went to a show she got the call back and knew she had to do something about it. Then  Sarah discovered pole dancing and also discovered that it was a calling; to give up her “normal” job and go inspire others to move; no matter what size, what background and to embrace we are not perfect but that’s what makes us unique.  Sarah inspires us to move more than just our bodies; she gets joy in helping others move out of our comfort zone.

    Escaping A Toxic Relationship

    Escaping A Toxic Relationship

Azita Abdollahian endured a controlling marriage, forced to flee her homeland Iran under a cloud and was a refugee with no English.

She became numb and mechanical.  She talks about domestic violence; it has no boundaries.  It exists regardless of your  postcode, skin colour, upbringing, religion, education  or economic status.

Her story is  one of courage from darkness to light.  She works with women to recreate, rediscover and reconnect with themselves again and to find their purpose.

3 Marriages but Love is Not Lost

3 Marriages but Love is Not Lost

Tracey has been through a lot emotionally in relationships.  A professional hard worker in a stressful job she is a caring wonderful women.  She talks with me about her 3 marriages and how as a young woman she was  left with a six week old baby after her husband from her first marriage walked out.

Tracey tough yet lonely and heartbroken talks about  how important it is to reach out and how to take your time  not to rush into relationships when you meet someone. ..  She also touches on women  wearing rose coloured glasses and how to see flags if they are there.

No bitter and twisted here; Tracey is a nurturing,  loving person who  is open to vulnerability and still believes in love.  A bubbly vivacious lady we can all learn from.  As the old saying goes;   it is better to have loved than to not have loved at all...

    The Truth Behind the Music

    The Truth Behind the Music

This podcast is one of my ramblings or rather rantings about a real customer service experience.  In such a diverse world of business the customer, no is not always right but most times we let them think they are or appease the situation.  The art of customer service can sometimes be a challenge but what if your experience is so bad you just have to vent it in disbelief.

Follow me to the podiatrist as I am greeted, as usual by the frosty receptionist where enough is enough...

I hope you get something out of this if you are running a business and if you are a customer who has been supporting someone and getting less than nothing back in return; perhaps it's time for a change.

    Gaz: Dog Man Part One

    Gaz: Dog Man Part One

Ever seen those people who run with the dogs, literally?  They look after other people’s dogs for a living; dogsitting them for their owners while they work or go on holiday.  I always thought it would be such a stress free life… that is until I went out with the pack and talked to the quietly spoken Gaz about the real life dramas.  This is part one of the Dog Man.

    Vaughan Wellington: The Plastic Viking

    Vaughan Wellington: The Plastic Viking

Vaughan Wellington is a true modern viking (his boat is aptly named Viking).  An unsung modern day hero who is fighting the plastic that is killing our oceans and everything that depends on it.

Dedicating the last 8 years to tirelessly trying to be heard as well as doing research and education about the plastic problem; he  travels the world to spread the word and trains other boaties and students so they can spread the word… but is the world really listening..

As Vaughan says “Wake up, it is 5 to midnight”.

I hope you enjoy my chat with Vaughan and perhaps this will inspire you to jump on board to keep our planet afloat before it is too late...

Amanda: Surviving and Thriving After 3 Kidney Transplants

Amanda: Surviving and Thriving After 3 Kidney Transplants

Amanda is one of those people that you can’t help but love.  She is a living reminder to never take life for granted; especially our health and how we should rejoice each day.

Never one to complain she has a bubbly positive personality so it’s hard to imagine what she’s been through.  Amanda has had not one but three  kidney transplants; the first one as a delicate 7 year old has meant a life of uncertainty, challenges and guts.

You will love listening to Amanda tell me how to weigh up decisions and not look back to get out there, stop feeling sorry for ourselves  and live.  She also touches on how she had made the decision not to have love in her life but life had a lot of love to give.
