    Sobriety is one of the most rewarding experiences, but it's not always easy. Sometimes it can take years to achieve wholeheartedly. I’m Julie, and I’ve been sober since Dec 31st 2018. Since going sober, I’ve been curious to learn from others who have made this shift in their lives, and how sobriety has impacted their journey. If you are curious about sobriety and/or recovery, whether you are sober or not, join me as I interview some of the people I’ve met along my sober journey.

A few years ago, after hitting many rock bottoms, she made the decision to transition to a sober lifestyle. Since then, after choosing to follow her heart, she has blossomed into such a kind and empathetic version of herself, and has built a life she is finally proud to live, with the help of her amazing community and the absence of alcohol.  

    She is passionate about creative projects, self expression, self compassion and mental health advocacy. 

    Professionally, she is a freelance bridal and special events makeup artist, a skin care professional and is the sole maker and creator of a small business making macrame fibre art.

    Jaime's life took a slight pivot in July of 2022 when she was diagnosed with follicular lymphoma. Since then she has revisited both her relationship with food and alcohol in a really positive way.

    She now strives to empower other women to do the same through programs and retreats that she's co-creating with her partner and her soul sister.

    This is the story of one of my closest friends. Johnny Reyes, aka REŸES, has had such an impact on my sober journey. He is a DJ, Producer and Composer. He entered recovery on 1-18-18 and shortly after began supporting other addicts. As a member of Musicares, he makes it a mission in life to help support the mental health and sobriety of musicians and anyone who's struggling with these issues.
