Award-Winning Canadian Country singer/songwriter Alexis Taylor is just getting started. The Canadian singer and songwriter was born and raised in the small town of Huntsville, Ontario. From a young age, Alexis’ powerhouse vocals combined with emotional lyrics showcased her creativity and love for music in every song. From sharing the stage with The Marshall Tucker Band , Love and Theft , Meghan Patrick and Doug Seegers , triple threat artist/singer/songwriter, Alexis Taylor has quickly established herself as one of country music’s rising stars. Following the release of her first single in 2018, Alexis has appeared live on numerous radio stations and tv stations throughout North America. She has been a part of events such as Canadian Music Week in Toronto, CMA Fest in Nashville, and has performed at the USO Northwest Gala in both 2018 and 2019. The release of her first single also lead to Alexis winning Female Vocalist of the Year at the 2018 Tennessee Music Awards , and would be the first of many nominations and awards to be won in Alexis' career. At the beginning of 2022, Alexis reached #36 on the Sirius XM CBC Country radio charts with her release "Long Way From Home" - A story of Alexis' journey in the music industry. However, Alexis' newest release "Let Me Leave" which was produced by Taylor Carroll (drummer for American rock band LIT), and vocals recorded by Dave Aude (known for more number ones than any other producer on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart) is sure to be an even bigger success. With big plans to get back into the studio before 2023, there is no telling what accomplishments this Nashville girl will see in the year ahead.

Taylor Hawkins got his first big break with Sass Jordan ! James Downham's latest track, "Wine & Whiskey" isn't a country drinking song. Rather, this song is about having someone in your life who can do more for you than wine or whiskey ever could. After a hard day, they're the first person you want to see and the first person you want to talk to. "You can wash away any kind of pain. You're my remedy. You're my wine and whiskey."

"Wine & Whiskey" is the latest release from Downham's debut full-length album, "The Long Way Home." The track features an all-star cast of musicians, including 2022 CCMA Award Winner Mitch Jay (Steel Guitar Player of the Year, Specialty Instrument Player of the Year) and 2022 CCMA Award Nominees Mark Rynkun (Bass Player of the Year) and Rich DaSilva (Drummer of the Year).

Raised in small town rural Ontario, Downham called Pembroke and Picton home before settling in Southwestern Ontario. He lives in Stratford, with his wife, Ange.

Earlier releases from the album included 2022's radio releases "One Mile at a Time" and "Raised On", as well as critically acclaimed 2021 single, "We're Okay", a powerful duet with country newcomer, Amanda Kind.  

Downham was winner of Season 2 of The Shot, and was recently selected from thousands of applicants as one of only 14 artists to participate in The Shot: Canada vs. USA. Touted as "North America's most intense virtual songwriting competition." He spent over a decade performing in a Tim McGraw tribute act before turning his attention back to original music.

Brooklyn Blackmore delivers captivating lyrics, dynamic vocals, and powerful melodies with a vintage feel. Brooke is from PEI in Eastern Canada with a brand new single "Nobody Knows" on Country Radio. She released the single earlier this year and also had the opportunity to play with Brett Kissel out in PEI.

Brooke's influences include Shania and Taylor and has collaborated with talented songwriters in Nashville and Calgary and spent the last few years working with talented CCMA and Juno award winning producer Jason Barry.

Sabrina and Dave from Rosewood Ave stopped by Country89 to discuss GOOD OLE DAYS, the duo's latest radio single. We talk about the creation of the song and what's coming up in 2023.

Rooted deep in the true north of Ontario, country duo Rosewood Ave take small town dreams to the next level. By a twist of fate due to a local paper mill shutdown, Dave’s family relocated to the small town of Iroquois Falls where he moved across the avenue from Sabrina. It wasn't long until they fell in love and these high school sweethearts began the journey of a lifetime as husband and wife country duo Rosewood Ave.

With the change to live music due to the pandemic, the duo began doing live streams every Saturday and even got featured on Country Rebel which brought up their video numbers to an impressive 3 million views. Rosewood Ave introduced themselves to the Country scene with a bang after having recorded with none other than Grammy nominated and multiple CMA award winning Nashville producer- Garth Fundis (Trisha Yearwood, Sugarland, Keith Whitley). The duo released their two debut singles “Fool for Love” and “Broke" written by Nashville hit writers such as Doug Johnson and Shane McAnally where they were then added on the highly regarded radio station CBC Country 179 - Sirius XM.

Crashing Wayward Releases Single "Breathe (Album Version)" via RFK Media Crashing Wayward is offering up a powerful new mix of the song "Breathe" as their debut single from RFK Media. Available December 16th on iTunes, Spotify and all major distribution platforms, this version gives everyone a strong taste of what's in store on their first full length album and serves as the perfect introduction to this exciting new band. 
While Crashing Wayward's sound can be categorized as alternative rock, they exhibit a diverse array of influences from Foo Fighters to Queen to Stone Temple Pilots and many more. Since being released on December 23, Shot of Jack Daniels is at over 5200 streams on Spotify alone and are hoping to build on that momentum. It's a very radio friendly song with a catchy hook to sing along to. We have already been added to Country 103 CHAW in Little Current, Hit Country 95.7 (and affiliates in Quebec), CJCI Country97 FM (and affiliates) in Prince George, and several community stations throughout the province. We were the featured artist of the week last week on True North Country, and have a front-page feature on Front Porch Music. We also just charted on the Canadian Indie Country Countdown chart.
