Reem and Michael continue their recollection on backpacking through South America. This week, the two recall their first taste of backpacking as they travelled down the south coast of Brazil. Their adventures take them to Ilha Grande and BarraMansa. Talking points include: touring Rio's largest Favelas, attending a Brazilian cooking class, and hiking through an armadillo infested jungle with the protection of a fellow island dog in the dark !

This week, Michael tells Reem the story of Thích Quảng Đức, a Vietnamese Mahayana Buddhist monk who burned himself to death in protest against the South Vietnamese government.

Conversation focal points include the process of mindfulness, the concept of samadhi. Samadhi defined means a state of intense concentration achieved through meditation. In Hindu yoga this is regarded as the final stage, at which union with the divine is reached (before or at death).

Currently, 118 dead  people are  being cryopreserved in Phoenix, Arizona  in hopes to be "woken up" years later. Why? Because they believe this will win them a second chance at life.

Reem then shares the chilling inspiration of cult classics, Silence of the Lambs, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and American Psycho: Edward Theodore Gein, also known as the Butcher of Plainfield or the Plainfield Ghoul. Gein is an American convicted murderer and body snatcher.
