    This week, Michael tells Reem the story of Thích Quảng Đức, a Vietnamese Mahayana Buddhist monk who burned himself to death in protest against the South Vietnamese government.

    Conversation focal points include the process of mindfulness, the concept of samadhi. Samadhi defined means a state of intense concentration achieved through meditation. In Hindu yoga this is regarded as the final stage, at which union with the divine is reached (before or at death).

    Currently, 118 dead  people are  being cryopreserved in Phoenix, Arizona  in hopes to be "woken up" years later. Why? Because they believe this will win them a second chance at life.

    This week of LOL Adulthood, Reem discusses cryonics and cryogenics. Cryonics is the low-temperature freezing and storage of human remains, with the speculative hope that resurrection may be possible in the future.

    This week, podcast host of Espresso, Enigmas, & Extraordinary Evils, Mckinlee Mayer joins LOL Adulthood to share the profile of Anatoly Yuryevich Moskvin, a Russian linguist, philologist, and historian from Nizhny Novgorod who was arrested in 2011 after the mummified bodies of 26 girls and women between the ages of 3 and 25 were discovered in his apartment.

    Reem then shares the chilling inspiration of cult classics, Silence of the Lambs, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and American Psycho: Edward Theodore Gein, also known as the Butcher of Plainfield or the Plainfield Ghoul. Gein is an American convicted murderer and body snatcher.
